Stupid question, but here is the reason:
Just picked up my Tour Premium on Thursday. When I got home the trunk will not lock, the key doesn't work.
Emailed the dealer, his reply was that the bike was a Premium Street with the tour box added. They never got the key for the box, he wants to order me a new trunk lock

My reply (most of it I will skip) was that I want a new lock keyed alike or replace all locks including the ignition so I have one key set.

I searched the Victory site and can't detect any difference between the models other than the box.
Am I missing something? Other than the dealer selling me a false bill of goods

The box is the only difference.

Did you know it was a tour street converted when you picked it up? If not I'd be taking it back. The VIN will show this bike as a Street model and not a PT. Not sure that matters to you so if you knew when you purchased it, fine. As for differences? None except the trunk.

As long as there is no difference, I can live with the VIN being showing the lesser model, as long as I have no grief with an insurance claim

Did you get the cover plate that they took off to put the trunk on? That would be nice to have if you would want to take the trunk off in the future.

I guess I did. No insult intended, it's funny how messages read different the second time through, little things you didn't mean as written.
My apology, unless you are riding a blue, black or cherry vision. We all know Grey's rule, plus 10 extra hp. LOL

As far as the cover plate, no I didn't, can't see me taking off the trunk, carry too much crap

There is a price difference with the Street Premium and Tour Premium. You need to make sure that the added trunk did not cost more than the Tour Premium (which comes with the trunk included in the price). But then...everything is negotiable!!

Good Luck

Kind of guessed you were kidding, but the apology was still required.

I bought the lesser model, because it was faster and cooler, but then I got older and bought the trunk so my wifey would have something to lean on and not fall off. Gotta get her to try out the backrest option, puts the lesser model back to cooler model.

I bought the street and added the tour pak. No differences between the two, except that piece and you get to keep the little plate. When I bought mine a whole new set of keylocks came with the trunk. Ignition, side bags, and trunk, so one key fits. Then being a good pack rat I kept the other key set, when I want to take off the trunk.

The only odd part was when the dealer replaced all the locks, bike started acting up and misbehaving. Wound up being a bad ignition switch. Swapped in the old switch and wa la, good behavior.

Actually, it's voila, from the French "see there," used to suggest an appearance as if by magic. Just passin' along the info .

I had fully intended to get the cover plate and turn my Tour into a Street, except on the weekends when the wife rode with me. I just like the looks of the Street so much better. But after a while I got used to the trunk and it's just so damn handy to have. Guess I'll just keep it the way it is :P

Rebel, Actually, had I intended to use the word "voila" as you so eloquently put!!!! I would have used it. Having corrected my good verbage jousting partner Valongdistanceryder, on many occassions, I am very well versed in the use of that word. But since my use of Good French sentence structure is lacking, like talking to a bullfrog (which of course I am not infering the word in your direction, had I, I would have used other words, like: excrement of Gateway computer colored mammal, or the flickings off the end of, nevermind you get the idea) anyway!!!!!

I was attempting to use other Southern English verbage of the poor man's southern word of, "wa la", which means if you look it up in the Pollolittle's Tornadoes and Sheetrock Dictionary, you would see that the word actually means, "see I told you so, had you listened to me in the first place i would not have broke down at my work on a Sunday for 7 hours, waiting on a tow truck, only to have him rough it up and have me banging my head against the asphalt, trying to explain to the knuckledragger how to tie my bike down, and I would have made it home before 9pm, in the first place." See a much better definition.

Rebel, had I used your definition or possibly the French Version, it would not have had the same effect!

By the way, if the Shiny side goes UP, why isn't there a shiny piece on me. Now, I do understand some of you many years my elder gentleman, this would hold extremely true. With a bottle of Meguiar's Quick Detail and a microfiber towel, just walking around the UP side would be shiny! mUUUhahahhahahahahahahaahahah!!!!!! I don't care who ya are, that right there is Funny!

Sorry VaParadox, since we are all spaceship riders, I will reference you to some scientific facts. It clearly states in the "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" the ultimate answer is 42, the ultimate question is "what is 6 x 9" We all know that multiplying 6 x 9 requires the use Grey Matter, which operates faster than the speed of light.
Ssssoooo therefore the statement Grey is faster is not a theory or a hypothesis, it's a fact Jack!

On the other hand Black also known as a black hole, just swallows everything up, and no one knows for sure if it even exists. Definitely a hypothesis.

Ah. In that context you are, of course, right. I stand corrected. But dangit, I still got to show off my vocabularic knowledge, so I stand by my orignal thread-jackin'. :P

the ultimate answer is 42, the ultimate question is "what is 6 x 9"

Shouldn't the question to the ultimate answer be "6x7"? And in any case, shouldn't we be out riding, just in case the Vogons are on their way to demolish the Earth to make way for a hyperspatial express route??

Oh yea, you can also take the lock from the trunk to a good locksmith and they can rekey it to the ignition key.
