Columbus, Ga | I bought my 09 TP about 3 weeks ago and have racked up about 280mi so far. I took the trunk off today and went for a spin and man did it feel different. I cant believe how more nimble the bike is. So I ask... Is it really that different or is it just in my head? |

| eagle, it is a HUGE difference. The more you ride the Vision with the trunk the more noticeable it will be when you pull it. It is sligtly less than 50lbs but it is carried very high with the Visions sleek low lines and makes the bike a little top heavy. I want to add a trunk rack but I'm in two minds as to how much more top weight I want to add. So instead I bought a trailer hitch for towing the extras, lol. |

Northeastern Penna. | I guess it is a matter of opinion, as always. I currently am riding with my trunk off. I haven't
had the trunk on since last fall. Don't think there a substantial difference. Will be putting the trunk back on for upcoming long rides. |

Fargo, ND | Gotta agree with Teach's comments. I've had my trunk off a couple of times and love the weight loss as it definitely is 'high weight'. I also added a hitch. So the way I see it...if the wife goes with the trunk stays on. If the wife stays home so does the trunk! However, I did add the Kuryakyn adapter to convert the trunk lights to Brake and Turn signals also, which is a 'way kewl' farkle in my book. |

New Bohemia, VA | There is a difference, but I wouldn't call it a big difference. I think the dynamics of the bike waw built more with the street in mind, thus the trunk with the higher weight naturally moves the CG. I enjoy the bike more without the trunk, but the bike is still great with the trunk and does not hamper anything at all, you just know it is there. |
