Albuquerque, NM | I've got a few questions about the Vision audio system. I am currently waiting
for the vision I purchased off ebay to arrive. I've learned a great deal of info
on mods that you all have performed and am looking forward to modifying my
vision. (brake light, black out mods etc...) I've been repairing electronics for
30yrs and somewhat of an audiophile. (love music, amps, speakers)
I personally hate the boomer cars that have monster subwoofers and ride around
town thumping. I only crank up the volume on my vegas when nobody is around
and try to be considerate of other drivers.
How many watts does the audio amp put out? I believe the 4 speakers are full
range speakers. Is the amp a 2 channel amp (20W per channel) with front/rear speakers
wired so that the balance control is used as a fader? (front/rear) I like
a little more bass in my vehicles and have added subwoofers. I know this is not
possible on a bike due to the larger enclosure volume needed for subwoofers.
Has anyone swapped out the rear speakers for woofers of the same size or is
it even worth considering due to the possibility of not being able to hear bass
frequencies on a motorcycleat at highway speeds?

Wichita, Kansas | Go here and download the maintenance manual. It's for an '08 but most things stayed the same for '09. Not sure about '10. There is a full wiring diagram and an audio system diagram. Optional equipment is not shown.
