| For those that are looking for Sirius radio for their Vision, here is an inexpensive option.
The Sirius One is a discontinued model that is compact and seems to be very well suited to the Vision. I purchased mine at myradiostore.com for $19.99 plus shipping, for a total of $26.20. The unit is small enough to stand upright in the Vision glove box, and plugs directly into the AUX input. The kit comes with the 12v DC adapter, you will just need to purchase the Powerlet-to-cigar adapter to use the 12v outlet in the glove box. The antenna is also included in the kit and is a small 2"x2" square antenna. I mounted on the dash and will run the wires under the console this weekend. The wires for the 12v adapter and antenna are quite long, so the excess will also be tie-wrapped under the console.
This unit also has FM transmitter, but forget about using it. With the unit mounted in the trunk, the FM signal was not even strong enough to work with the anemic FM receiver on the Vision.
This unit is very limited in functionality to many other radios (small scrolling LED display, limited number of presets, etc.), but since I only listen to a few stations anyhow, the 5 easy to use preset buttons will be more than sufficient until better integrated options are available for the Vision.
Since I already have a couple of other Sirius subscriptions, the quarterly cost was only $16.58 plus one-time $15 activation fee (may be able to get this waived?), so for about $55, I will have Sirius for the rest of the normal riding season in Colorado. This will make the ride to Spirit Lake next week much more enjoyable!
I will post some pictures this weekend when I complete the permanent install.

Hampton Va | I also use Sirius .... is much better than XM as they have NASCAR. I do use the FM transmiter as my audio plug is used by my Itouch

O'Neill, Nebraska | racershaun....when you say you have used your audio plug is this the same plug that is used for a GPS? I've installed my Garmin 2720, which doesn't have any external connectors and it's hooked into the audio system. I also have the Ipod connection.
I have an old Sirius handlebar mount that I'm thinking of using and just using the FM tranmitter into the bike radio. |

what kind of gps is that? and is your Siruis radio water proof? I like you how you have your system setup. |

Bought a Sirius Starmate 5 with a car kit and put it in the glove compartment, put the antenna on the dash. Works great, sounds great, I already have the Sirius service so the second service is fairly cheap. I went with the Starmate 5 because it has a higher audio output than some of the less expensive models. So with all the different music selections, traffic & weather, comedy, etc.......I think I'll be happier even if it doesn't read out on the console.  |

Hey Vision Tex....how do you change your Sirius stations? I've been kicking around the idea of getting another receiver for the bike and was curious if anyone had mounted it on the handlebar for easy access to change stations. I'm not sure I want to block the view by putting it on the dash. |

LaPorte,Tx. | I was going to mount on the console, but really didn't like the looks of it mounted there, didn't like the dash mount either. I don't change stations very much, so that really isn't an issue with me. But the way I have it in the glove compartment it is right there when the lid is open. I probably would have mounted it on the top of the brake resivour, but couldn't find a nice bracket for that mount. Maybe someday someone will make a nice chrome bracket for that type of mount and I'll move it out of the glove compartment. For now, I'm really enjoying the service. Oh, and I bought the Starmate 5 for less than $100, so the price was right. |
