| I have purchased some 2" pullback bars for my 2012 XCT and need some guidance on changing them out. Can anyone guide me through it? I have seen the video that the Aussie gal made but it doesn't show her actually doing the work so leaves a lot of questions? Someone has said that the heated grips have set screws for removal and the left one is not glued on? Also have read severl times that the cables are long enough on the 2012s but do they have to be re-routed? They seems not to have very much slack I have done a lot of work on my previous bikes but this is my first Victory so would appreciate any help.

| OK. I received no replies but thought I would give my feed back on the installation in case it would help someone else. I ordered the bars from my Victory dealer and the instructions that came with them were pretty good. It did say 1 hour to R and R but it took me 3 hours taking my time. I wasted over 30 minutes on removing the left heated grip. The dealer parts manager told me the grip was glued on but there is no glue...it has 2 tiny set screws. Once I discovered and removed the set screws the grip slid right off. I called the dealer back and educated him about this as I could have damaged the heated grip trying to get it off. My wife held up the fairing while I removed the old bars and installed the new ones. The installation was pretty straight forward following the provided instructions and the extra 2" made a huge difference in the comfort, I no longer have to lean forward to reach the bars.

Richmond, Texas | I am planning on doing the same thing. Did you have to loosen the faring for your wife to hold it up? There's no clearance on my new Tour to get a wrench in there. I was wondering more about that part and getting to the bolts more than the actual bar replacement.

Yes, you have to loosen the fairing. The Victory Bars came with step by step instructions, easy to follow. Once you have the fairing loose you remove the riser bolts and pull the handlebars out with the risers attached. The instructions are really very good.

| I have looked for the instructions but unfortunately I must has thrown them out with the box. I was hoping that I had filed them for future reference.

| hey guys, first time on the forum. I purchased a 2012 XCT and went on my first road trip and found that the bars need to come back about 1 1/2 - 2 inches. Is my best bet to buy new bars or some risers. Sounded like the bars that Sunman bought and installed did the trick. Sunman what kind of bars did you buy? You said you got them from your dealer, do you know the part number or any other information I would need. Also you said the cables were long enough right? Appreciate any feed-back |

Arizona | Check out HMD 520 (Heavy Metal Designz) as they have some real nice bars and the quality is very good. Mike is a great guy and will take the time to speak with you about your needs.I originally was going to go with the 2.5" pullbacks, but now I think I will do the gorilla bars. But the first bars I mentioned would do the trick, and your stock cables would fit.

| Mine are Victory P/N 2878552 Pull Back Handlebar kit. The cables did not have to be replaced, there is enough slack.

northwest florida | just curious, does anyone make risers for the CC or CR? Seems to me that is a cheaper way to go than changing the handlebars. |

| I bought the bars from Heavy Metal Designz, will be a couple months before I tackle them but if you go to the Witchdoctors youtube site, he also has a video showing how to do it on a CC.
