So I had convinced myself that I wanted to switch to a sport tourer after riding my vision on the million dollar hiway a couple of months ago. The altitude made me feel like I had lost 10hp at least(I have the Lloyds fuel controller), and then there was all the front fork diving under hard braking on the downhills...and the generous lean angle goes away on the really tight stuff...so I started to research the Kawasaki Concours 14, started lusting after it really, did a lot of research. Then I test rode it a week ago and was all smiles. Yeah the power is that good, it should be hell its a motor out of the zx14, made to run with the Suzuki Hyabusa. But the smiles were because I new within 20 miles I wasn't trading in my Vision. There was no comfort on the Concours, at least not compared to our bike, spoiled forever. It was tough walking by her in the garage everyday, she knew I was looking to get rid of her, what a relief. We're going out Saturday for the whole day, and I'm looking to shave a few millimeters off the floorboards. We'll be buds again.

I can't say I was going to cheat, but I rode the new Indians twice because I really was/am looking for a smaller/lighter change up mount. I am still considering/aas yet have ridden the BMW 1600 GT, or maybe, just maybe, a Motus MS. The Indians are wonderful machines. They are smooth, extremely torqurky, ooth shifting, and way lighter feeling than my VV. Down side, you sit on it than in it, it feels tight in the drivers seat, and the brake pedal seems shaped wrong necessitating me having to lift my foot up and back to actuate thebrake pedal to use it. The unfared bikes are out of the running because wearing a full face helmet requires me to first look down, away from the road, locate the speedo, and then focus on the info. All of that at speed and this motor builds speed deceptively fast and smooth. Bottom line I will have travelled to far to be blind from the road that long. What I did notice has been echoed and documented on this forum many times. Once you ride a Vision everything else seems small, cramped, and not even equally as comfortable. I admit the Vision has spoiledme. Thats it I said it.

If you really get out of the seat and hang a knee over, I'm unsure how much more entertainment you are after. If you leave your feet at the back edge of the boards use them like pegs and you can really shift weight around

Honda F6 you have to buy a pilot helment so you can beath at high speed and hocky shin pads for the great lean angle.

Does that have more lean angle than the regular Goldwing? If not, then it has less lean angle than a Vision.

Regular Goldwings are a little slower than my Vision, but the stripped down F6B version is lighter than both.

Were you just being sarcastic?

MOTORcycle. MOTOR. M O T E R .... Engine .... POWER plant

That's what REALLY makes the Vision a better machine than ANY other MOTORcycle - YOU CAN SEE THE MOTOR-ENGINE-POWERPLANT !!!!

That Honda looks neat - but WHERE THE HELL IS THE MOTOR ????????????

In the REAL WORLD - you don't 'drag a peg' and the Vision handles as good as any SANE rider needs. And it is fast enough - and VERY comfortable.

BEATS THE HELL OUT OF ANY OF THE COMPETITION - because you can see the MOTOR part of MOTORcycle...

PHEW.... so there

Now thtat's a motor. I have never been a fan of the new Rocket 3, but I find this one interestingand I would take it over the F6B anyday all day.

I am a firm believer that every bike has an intangible soul. You should buy an accessory for it now; since contemplating to get rid of it; the bike has sensed that. You need to make amends for that.

Just superstition; but why chance it?

I liked the Concours until I rode it. Not a bad bike, but didn't stand out in the areas I was most concerned with - American made, comfort, wind management, longevity, luggage space. This was a few years ago, but don't think it had an electric windshield or radio.

I kind of like the Honda F6B! Except, as Don mentioned, you can't see the engine.

Dang, I thought I was the only one with that superstition! You must be a baseball fan, too.
