I have some major cracking on some plastic body parts in a few places. Is this something others have had and will it be covered under warranty? I have a 2011 with 31.000 miles. This does not include the front fender I already replaced.

Hold on willtill. Cracking is not just cosmetic. Could the frame be the issue causing the cracking? I'd check with your friendly Victory dealer!

ANY cracks are "cosmetic and wear and tear". Period. this is straight through Victory. Mother Vic knows best and will always do what's right for us, here owners, riders and children.

NO warranty.. "read the fine print of your agreement" and no never had this happen on (2) Different visions..

another short story.. on my 08 vision i had the Rear floating rotor fail on me... NOT wear out.. but fail.. even the dealer thought it should be covered under the extended warranty.. the round circles (sorry just woke up and cant think) failed.. the rotor went side to side and just about fell apart.. The extended warranty company through Victory didnt even want to hear about it... or hear about in the way that it failed... they said... simply... refer to the warranty papers you signed... so we did.. and there it was.... NOT COVERED.. doesn't matter what the reason was.. not covered is not covered...

=( i was pissed....

I had one of the plastic mounting tabs break off for the aluminum fairing. Doesn't seem to bother anything. There are eleventy million screws holding that thing on, so I guess one isn't going to make a difference. Can't see it from the outside of the bike so left it alone. No other broken plastic.

I had that problem twice with extended warranties on vehicles, and that taught me to not bother buying another one. I see a lot of people praise them and get great support, those people are just a heck of a lot luckier than me.

I was expecting cracked body parts when I did the ride to Alaska. I had Ty-Wraps, duct tape and epoxy with but I didn't need any of it.
No cracks or repairs needed.

Exactly, Rollin. Which is why I think it is very odd he has cracked body parts unless there is something else causing the problem. If so, then I would think it should be covered if it is due to manufacturing.

Rollin,
Read about the IBA ride you did this last summer. Congrats. I have not been able to ride as much as I wanted to, oh well. Hope you had a great summer.

Any update on this? Covered or not, what's the cause of the cracking, where is it located, and got any photos?

My wiring harness "let the smoke out" while riding one day and it melted the front brake line and fried the heating elements in the seat.

The extended warranty paid for the wiring harness and the labor to replace it minus the $50 deductible.
I had to pay for the front brake lines and seat replacement.

Nothing rubber or plastic is covered.
No normal wear items are covered.
The brake line is, in their opinion, rubber or plastic.
The seat is considered a normal wear item.
