| Harbor Freight has their ramp lift on sale for $329. Have you guys used it on the Vision? Is it worth it? |

Posts: 466 Grand Cane, LA | I have that same lift. It's decent, but I didn't care for the front tire holder so I swapped it out for a pingle type chock. Planning on swapping out the cylinder for an air type, not that it is hard to pump it up by the foot one, just looking at making it a little easier because I'm getting a little lazier. LOL! |

Posts: 1632 Jasper, MO | My neighbor has one. We've used it on several smaller bikes and it works well enough. It's rated for 1000 pounds. It does not look sturdy or stable enough for me to put my 900 pound Vision on it though. I don't think it would be stable enough, even if it would lift the bike. YMMV.

Posts: 395 Moravia, IA | Ive got one.....bought it just a couple weeks ago with a coupon for $299.
I own 6 motorcycles, 3 dirt bikes, 4 atvs, mowers etc.
*IF* I just had the Vision - I dont think Id buy it. I havent yet put my Vision on it.....but Im not really planning on using it for the Vision anyways - its purpose is to allow easier custom work on my hard tail and my dual sport bikes.
Hell my buddy who wrenches for a living has a really nice Handy lift.....cost almost $2K and it makes me nervous putting the Vision up on it....doesnt seem to bother him much though. |

| I also have one and use it for the Vision. It seems fine but for safety I put a 2x4 cut to length end wise under the front two corners to prevent the remote possibility of tip over. Drilled hole by the rear tip-over bars and use them for tie downs. if the rear wheel comes off I take the belle pan off & use that tip over mount. have an old scissor jack & board to put under motor to lift for tire changes. |

| Bought one... took it home (100 miles) put it together, swapped the vise for their wheel chock. Bled the cylinder, rolled the bike up on it and pumped like a mad man... nothing. And YES I bought their oil and topped off the cylinder as per the instructions.
Took the bike off, unbolted the wheel chock, threw it in the back of the truck and took it back. Got my money back added a bunch more $$$ and bought the 1,500 lb cap Handy. What a nice lift! but it's not $299. and it's Not made in China! I can tell you that it lifts the Vision like cutting warm butter and is stable like a rock. I wanted to go with the Handy in the first place but listened to the little guy on my shoulder telling me that I could save all that money...
Save yourself the aggravation, sell your dog, first born, wife, and by American Made! |

Posts: 112 Denver, Iowa | I use it for my Vision, my wife's XC, her Vegas (when she owned one), a coworker's HD bobber, and it also doubles as a low bench when you need one...
Note the HF wheel chock in the pic. I pulled out one pin to remove the front wheel, but it's a HF wheel chock that I bolted to the HF lift.

Posts: 395 Moravia, IA | Thats the same wheel chock I have on my motorcycle trailer - I really like it for the trailer but Im thinking of trying one of the other wheel chocks because Id like to keep the lift deck open for use as a bench.....and that wheel chock has alot of structure/substance to it in the back.
It is a dang good chock though. |

Posts: 7 , OH | I have the same HF wheel chock as Godspeed on my HF cheapo lift. Had my Burgman, then my Kingpin, and now my Vision on it. First time I tried it the pump didn't work, but I bled it according to the instructions and it has worked perfect for the past year. I do wish it lifted the bike a few more inches but I have a good stool to roll around the sides to get underneath the bike. Just installed my Witchdoctor mufflers last week and this lift made it much easier. The wheel chock holds well (I still strap the bike to the cross piece on the end), but riding the bike up on the lift into the chock takes nerve and then yanking it back out of the chock takes muscle or an extra person to help push it out of the chock. |

Posts: 37 Dayton, OH | A friend who rides a HD full dresser has one and said he had no problems or concerns about his so I stopped by Harbor Freight in my area to look at the motorcycle lift. The front wheel vise was a scary joke. I looked at the front wheel stand that's in GodSpeed's post and considered possibly using it. Glad to see someone has made it work. I did an internet search and saw where Greg Smith Equipment sells basically the same lift with a much more secure front wheel vise http://www.gregsmithequipment.com/MC1000-1-000-LB-Capacity-Air-Hydr... . My friends HF lift had the front wheel vise that's on the Greg Smith Equipment lift. Additionally, the HF lift was not pneumatic, the GSE lift was both hydraulic and pneumatic.

Posts: 395 Moravia, IA | Had my Vision on my yesterday to change the oil.
Felt pretty secure, even using the included joke of a wheel vise......but.....when I let it down on the "safety" bar it bent the sheet out of it.....so I had to toss a couple boards under the lift for some extra support. |
