The BMW K1600GTL touring version is electronically limited to 136 MPH. The BMW K1600GT version is not limited and can theoretically run up to 155 MPH, but most owners report they struggle to get over 150 MPH, with the bags removed.

Normally aspirated cammed Visions are already running in the mid 130s without much trouble. I think a supercharged Vision would be in the top speed game, and probably also in the quarter mile games, especially with the touring version of the BMW.

FWIW, 150 MPH in 6th gear would be only 5700 RPM on a Vision--right in the meat of the powerband of the VM1 cams. You just need to stuff some more (compressed) air and fuel in there.

5700 rpm in sixth ?? Yeah with a blower it should be able to do it. Alot of pressure on the crankshaft. Good thing it's a one piece riding on plain bearings NOT like Harley's 3 piece flywheel junk.........

Several of us have reported speeds well into the mid 130s in 5th gear. Jeffmack saw a GPS verified 138 MPH in 5th gear, which meant his bike was turning just a bit over 6200 RPM (and he was running 2 MPH faster than the stock electronically limited BMW K1600GTL). We know the Victory motors can take the RPM at the power levels the normally aspirated ones produce. Some of them are producing better than 120 FT/Lbs of torque. If enough boost was employed to keep the engine producing 120 FT/LBS of torque at 6200 RPM, you get nearly 142 horsepower at the wheel. The BMW K1600GTL is reported to make 134.9 HP at 7900 RPM at the wheel.

To match the 136 MPH top speed of the BMW K1600GTL, the Vision would have to be running 5148 RPM in 6th gear. Or, 6132 RPM in 5th gear.

So, maybe the BMW owner gets his speed limiter "fixed" like we do, so that it will run with the K1600GT.

To match the 155 MPH top speed of the BMW K1600GT, the Vision would have to be running 5867 RPM in 6th gear. If a boosted Victory was making 120 FT/LB of torque at 5867 RPM, it would also be applying 134 horsepower to the wheel.

Now, how are we going to get Z rated tires on a Vision?
