I have a new 2012 Vision. Once in a while when I am coming to a stop or downshifting for a turn if i blip the throttle, the bike will stall (its happend 3 times in 1000 miles). Only happens at slow speed. This is a California bike. To me, it seems like a fueling issue. if I dont blip the gas, it doesnt happen. Almost seems like it gets too much gas. Restarts right away.

Anyone else experience this?

Rarely. I too have a Kalifornia bike, it seems it happens to me if the bike is hot and lean (like pulling off the freeway), and I crank the throttle, motor freewheeling). I think it overwhelms the sensors somehow, and the bike dies. Having said that, since I have had the cams and VFC installed, it does it less. Operator error, in my case.

Rick, where you at? Bay Area, for me...

I'm not trying to be a smartass, but don't blip it. Seriously. The computers on these bikes don't like it.

buddahead. SoCal. Orange County. Sounds like what happens to me. Always when I am slowing way down in a low gear, clutch in.

As for blipping the throttle, hard habbit to break after all these years although now I am trying not too. I agree though that the systems dont like it. Didnt know if it was running too lean and that dumped too much gas momentarily.

You'll soon get used to it Rick. I have had zero problems with a stall since I stopped blipping.

Hmmm. I have never blipped mine. I will have to try it to see what happens.

because of our EFI we can't not blip. I think its cause we have down draft air intake and horse shit air valve.
Go to Lloydz and look at his IAV by adding this you be able to adjust your air to idle

Addresses it specifically. Finally tired of the occasional stall or drop in idle as Well. Was just putting it off spending money on other mods. Here's the link to make it easy and if you use the Lloydz link on the web here it helps support the forums.

I have never, and I repeat, NEVER had my bike stall or die on me. Maybe it's the difference between the Cali fuel maps and the 49 state stock and stage 1 maps, or maybe it's that I don't overtly blip my throttle (never figured this out, I get matching RPMs for downshifting, but there's no need to blip). Correction, I guess I do "blip" occasionally, such as at a stoplight with one more other riders, and a light is about to change to green.... it's sort of a "hey, wake up, we're gettin' ready to take off" deal... but never had it die on me.

I have never had the Lloydz IAV, but I do run a power commander V with autotune on top of the Victory stage 1 ECM flash.
