Unfortunatlely things have not proceeded well. The company that sold me the lift (Complete Hydralic) will not return my calls or e-mails. I have spoke with the "person" in charge of warranty and the most I got was that the "owner was reviewing the pictures and would call back". I have received no contact from them. I filed a complaint with the BBB and an as much as I hate to say this, legal action is next. In this day and age it is a shame that companies hide from thier responsibilites instead of doing whats right. I have my own business and if the situation was reversed I would be doing everything in my power to make things right.

Other bad news is that the 5436294 - Victory - SUPPORT-MAIN INSTRUMENT PANEL is on backorder and there is no date for manufacture from Ma Vic. Company I ordered the parts from is saying could be up to 3 months.
Will keep you all up to date.

Makes you wonder if they understood the risk when they went into business. Times seem tough all the way around, but he would be better for it if he would back his product, and improve. On the MA Vic side, they seem to always stay short in inventory except for a few items. You may want to see if you can find a salvaged Vision that you can get the part from, and then have them reimburse you. At least you wouldn't wait three months unless you weren't going to be riding anyways.

That incident scares me. I lift my bike all the time for maintenance and mods. I will definately be checking the construction of my lift when I get home. Glad you are ok.

Sucks to hear that bit of news, Glad I didn't buy that lift, I was looking at it.

I have heard that if a dealer will inform Victory when they order it that the bike is down they have an expedite code to get the part out. That's what I hear anyway.

Going to my State Attorney General Next.

Sad part is I was not asking for anything other than my money back on the lift that is still under warranty, and the damages incurred to my bike and refrigerator. Hell I would have settled without the refrigerator damages...
This company has not even followed up on the warranty side of this. So in doing business with Complete Hydraulic (or not) please be carefull...
For what its worth.

Damn! I purchased one of their Lifts(same lift actually).
I was afraid they would turn into that type of company.

I am going to have to add something to eliminate the "c-clip" that failed.
I'm thinking of welding a retainer collar on the shaft.

A lift for my Vision is one area I did not try to save money. Too much at risk. I coughed up $400 for a solid one. It really hurt to hand over the bills, but I feel very safe underneath it. It has already paid for itself because I do all my own work.

In the sense of fairness I will give you and update. After e-mailing the BBB report to the owner I did FINALLY get a response. He stated he has had health issues and that he would call me today (Saturday). His health is more important than material things so I hope his health is improving and he can contact me. I still think that someone from the company should have contacted me and let me know what was going on. Will keep you posted.

Update.
After a long time and much weaseling from the company "Complete Hydraulic" out of Indiana I had to file a clain with the Attorney Generals Office. Nothing happend there but just yesterday I got a letter of... "Notice of Chapter 11 bankruptcy case" for said company...
Guess I will not get any restitution but hopefully no one else has to deal with them.

Handy or K&L lifts if you can swing it.They both get lots of use @ dealerships and indy shops.
I chose K&L over Handy because @ the time I bought mine Handy was going thru some reorganizational issues and I got the K&L thru a bike dealership @ their cost plus free shipping. It saved me $600+
