I was reading the July edition of "Thunder Press" and in the Motorhead Memo column by Kip Woodring he was describing weaknesses in the H-D twin cam engine. He talks about crankshaft wobble and that part of the problem are poorly designed or cheapened crankshaft bearings. There is a weakness in the primary chain tensioner, which has an upgrade you can buy. And he says, "chain drive for primary transmission of power is archaic anyway." Geez, and they have been around for 110 years?

Thank you Victory for building a superior motor from day one!

I like to say: VICTORY is what Harley SHOULD have been (25 years ago). Our Vic's can use improvement, but they still beat the Hell out of HD.

I own an HD and I honestly can't complain about the engine, it's underpowered and cost a small fortune to pull any real hp out of it but it's been reliable.

back about 2000 H-D told Timken Bearing how to run there company. Timken said bye bye. Now you know why they don't have good bearings. H-D all so changed there crank shaft bearings.
