That sucks, man. I wish someone would total my Nomad (without me on it, of course). It would be easier to file an insurance claim than to sell it. Maybe a tornado will sweep it up. Or aliens. I just want a Vision.

Good things come to those that wait....

Got the bike back!!!!! All total about $4,800 in damages. The dealer originally told me it would be about a month to get her back. They were down staff...etc. I was really annoyed when they told me that. The dealer came through and I had her back in 2 weeks. Just in time to enjoy riding on the second half of my 2 week vacation. The dealer did a nice job too. She looks almost brand new. When I went in to pick her up I had to ask if this was my bike 😄

congrats on getting your bike back. That is a nice surprise.

How about post the dealer name so we know who to shop with in the future?

The big thing to remember is that the Vision is a rare bike. Just not that many of them on the road in comparison to other bikes. The insurance adjusters dont have alot to go on as to the value of repairs, and damages.

Five years ago our Kingpin was totalled.
The insurance dude sent me the estimate of value and was calling it a HARLEY.
The guy had NO FREAKING CLUE what a Victory was!

Sorry to the OP to hear about this mis-hap.
It's a crime to see any Vision damaged, but a 2009 Ice Blue - oof that makes my blood boil.

I have never heard of someone being pulled over because of a salvage title...that doesn't rally matter unless it was never licensed which would mean it wasn't inspected anyways....state of title is not pc to stop someone...must have been more too it.. Anyways,
Glad you weren't on it and didn't get hurt, that's the main thing!

WTF - yesterday morning I was helping my wife pack for her craft fair and I found my bike down again. This is no joke. I was sooooooo pissed since I just got her back from the first time. After I dropped my wife off at her craft fair I called a buddy of mine to help put back on her legs. Luckily I didn't see any damages. I couldn't see any marks on the opposite it was down on. The tip overs saved me and I was lucky nothing was wrong. Someone must of tipped her over on purpose during the night.

So since this happened twice and about a months time, I was thinking of getting an alarm on the bike. I just want something that is going to chirp and/or make noises if someone is around the bike. I don't want anything that is going to go off every second a car drive by or such. Any suggestions on a motorcycle alarm? Are they worth it?

Thanks for any input.

That's crazy. Since you must leave it on the street, I'd suggest a Scorpio http://www.scorpioalarms.com/products/motorcycle/
They even have plug and play connector kits for our Visions.
Ever think about moving? lol.
Sorry about your bike.

WTF, I would find an alarm that has a programmable voice that would say as they touch it: The cross-hairs from my .50 BMG Sniper Rifle are located on your forehead fool, now get lost punk........ Do not know of an alarm that would be good but don't you have any other options to park? Wow, glad both of my girls have a garage.

It would be nice to have an alarm that would taser the person. Then I could go out there and beat the sh$t out of them

Damn! What did you do to piss off your neighbors? Scorpio is a good alarm - had one on my '08 'til the double-backed tape let loose and the alarm control box fell down against the belt which tore it up.

First off, take a lot of pictures. Take them of everything you can on the bike and as many close ups as you can. Make sure the dealer checks the frame and all of the motor, there could be cracks or bent.
In 1968 had an accident on a bike, and the guy was insured by State Farm and they cam to see me in 2 days. Great settlement and fast. Hope they are the same now.
When you pick it up, don't sign anything until you have taken a long ride and made sure everything is like new on the bike.
Sorry to hear about the bike, but glad you weren't involved. It hurts to lose the bike for a while, I know after mine was totaled in Tx. Took a month to get a new one...
Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

Put up a security cam pointed at your bike and that way your can see who is doing it.
