| Riding to work today and seemed like I was riding lower. Suddenly, bottom of bike bottomed out, pulled over no flat, pumped air shock up to 50 still low. What do you think it is? |

| After I pumped it to 50 it didn't go up at all. Still riding low. |

| Leak in fill valve or the seal is shot and you need a new one is my guess...... |

Danbury, Connecticut | Any new noises associated with condition. Look underneath on swing arm, left side is the shock clevis and the right side is the push rod-make sure bolts are in them-if ok, look under seat & you can see the rocker arm (think see-saw)-shock on one side & push rod on the other side of the rocker, look for something broken - if all that stuff is good perhaps the shock locked up somehow. |

| Do you have a air pump witha gauge on it so you know how much your putting in
Spit on the air valve to see if air is leaking
Bottom of shock is it wet like lossed it fluid
Pull seat pump air in shock spay water or baby power on house and see if it leaks
You will not see bike lift when pumping in air.
Never use a air compressor ti fill shock you'll blow it out for sure
It would be all most imposable for a bolt to come out |

Philly Pa. | I keep hearing it does not raise the bike when you put air in the shocks when it does raise the bike and stiffen the ride. I watch the bike go up when I put air in my shocks and I do use a air pump. just have to be carefull with it.I ride with about 37 to 40 psi's in... |

| I let all air out of shock, then put air back in shock, it reads 50 psi. doesn't seem to be leaking. Bike still about 1.5 inches off ground. Feels like I have no shocks over bumps. Still way to low. When I let up on throttle it sounds like jets whistling over head. What the h---ll? My buddy comin over to look at it. |

New Bohemia, VA | Pictures would help. I think you have a broken something or nother. Do not ride the bike until you find what it is. Check your swing arm, should be bolts on both sides toward the front. Remove the seat and look in the hole through the frame and see if anything is broke there. |

| Buddy came over, diagnosed in 5 seconds. Suspension lowering link bolt snapped. I had bike lowered 2" in back, last year. He said, " because the suspension does not have as much room to travel, the ride is a little stiffer and places a bit more stress on that bolt." Thank God it didn't happen on my big trip in August. Still love the lower ride. He is going to use stronger bolt and reinforce the suspension link. Stronger bolt should have been used when changing out that lowering link.

| I know it raises the bike from my own experience, or I am nuts...I am 72 and getting down to check/air up rear tire can be a little difficult...I was told by a tech guy at the demo day rides here a couple months ago to air up to 50/60psi the rear shock to help raise rear of bike to get easier access to rear valve stem....Seems to work for me and makes the job a whole lot easier for me.....Again could just be my imagination, but it for sure makes the jpb a little less hassle...Some say a 1/4" does not mean much but......in some situations it does......

Philly Pa. | No your not nuts the bike is raised when you add air.. when I first got my bike it had no air in the rear shocks when I added air up the back end of the bike went. Would not make any sense if it didn't. |

How low did lowering your back end take your seat Height too... My seat height is 24.50 on my vision 8 ball 2011. wanted to get full size vision but lover that seat height on the 8 ball. |

| I loved the seat height on 8 ball as well. My full size vision is now lower than 8 ball. Bike was lowered 2" plus I put the Arlen Ness seat which is as deep as the 8 ball seat. That seat is another 1" lower than regular seat. |

Philly Pa. | so you are sitting at about 23.50 seat height wow thats good have to remember that looking at the cross roads they have a seat lowering kit too
