I would like to install a closeable car vent on my right swoosh and would like to see a step by step on how to get it off before I bugger it up. Thanks for the help. I will post up pictures when I finally do it!

Hawaii, you're scaring me. I'm thinking that we think along the same warped lines!

Someone a while back had posted how they had carved a big chunk out of the "swoosh" to alleviate heat.

I thought; "great idea, until I want that heat". Then I got to thinking about some sort of nicely done, factory installed looking, adjustable vent.

Actually though, I was thinking more along the lines of a single, monolithic vent instead of a louvered vent. I think it would blend in better, visually. I think you would be able to divert a lot more air than with a little wimpy automotive vent.

Keep us posted!

Personally, you'd be better off installing the lowers...

I would be interested in your results. I don't care for the looks of the lowers.

Thanks for the feedback guys! The link above is almost exactly what i'm doing except my bike is black and the vent will be larger and all black to blend in better. I agree a oval would look better but I have not found a big enough one with a vent that will close when it's cold out.
My vent is 49052-VUL 5.25? x 2.5? That I happen to have laying around in my garage froma pass project.
Here's some you can chose from-Vintage Air.

Oval? The one rideingcowboy shows is rectangular and black. If I could find a set, I'd use 'em!
