Columbia, SC | I'm just wondering...excitedly...the new Sena part that is or will be coming out (the one that connects to our factory radio to transmit it to a bluetooth headset), is that out for other bikes?
If not, it makes me feel pretty good that Harley WASN'T the first to get an accessory from a pretty big company, and they chose to develop with VICTORY. Maybe it'll be a trend....I've heard Victory sales may overtake Harley in as little as 12 months . . . or was that 1200 months.....

Columbia, SC | I'm VERY close to your homemade version. Just need to verify if my sister will be sending me her old ipod touch, and once that is verified, you'll be getting a PM on how to make that sustained power supply so I don't have to recharge it, and check which one you have so I can get one that i KNOW works.

san antonio, tx | I think I'm going to order another transmitter and see if I can remove or bypass the battery without destroying the transmitter. That way, the transmitter will automatically turn on and off with the ignition key.
The one issue I don't like about it, and found out after the fact, is that if you leave your helmet on and walk out of range, (20'- 30' or so), it will not always automatically sync back up when you come back in range. Also, when you do re-sync, you must have the transmitter off. The Scala has to be on first, then the transmitter.
What I was hoping for was a completely seamless integration where all I have to do is turn the Scala on or off and the thing would just work, and I wouldn't need to even touch the transmitter. If I bypass the battery, all I have to do is remember to turn the Scala on before I turn the key.
I suspect that the Sena version is going to have some similar quirks as well. It might be why it's taking so long to get it to market. It's one thing for me to cobble a bunch of bits and pieces together and deal with a minor quirk, quite another to spend a couple hundred and deal with them!
Other than that (and it's very minor and doesn't happen often), it's been working very well.
