#00002 2012 Spirit Lake Indian Chief is on its way to the Charlotte, NC Indian dealer showroom and I ain't got the $$$ to go put a secuity deposit on it. #00001 is staying with Polaris for historical purposes....

If anyone is interested in it, it would be a collector....

If you had it, it might be a collector item one day, after you ride the doggie doo out of it and then have to rebuild it from the ground up because it would roll about 5,000,000 Miles before you stopped riding it to put in your museum or put it on an auction block.

Just thinking with my calculator, you are averaging around 100k in 4 years, It would take you another 40 years to go 1,000,000 on a bike, probably less but probably doable. Your still young enough to give that IRON MONSTROSITY BUTT ride a go. I may have overshot my first 5 million estimate, but it wouldn't surprise me.

I wonder if it's gotten here yet? I have a feeling that I may feel like riding the 15 miles (or so) tomorrow to see it and pick up an Indian shirt or two. That way I can always say I bought an Indian...LOL

I guess you didn't read all the news press. The number 1 bike is not for sale it will be on display at Polaris headquarters in Mn.
As far as being a collectors peace the only bikes that are that were made before you were born.

who are you speaking too - OP points out that #1 is at Polaris for historical purposes. Keep in mind it doesn't have to be old to be a collector. The Vision, first year is a collector whether or not many people think so. Personally, I believe it will go down in history as an industry changer. It was the first bike that truly was built around the rider. I plan on archiving my Vision when it is no longer ridable, which I got a feeling will be a very long time from now.
