I have Bridgestone Potenza on my cage. All 4 developed cracks all over the tires. Has anyone running this tire on the Vision experienced this?

They look like they are suffering from rot.

First thing to check is the tire's age.
It's coded on the sidewall.
My guess is that these tires are 6 years old or older.

My second guess would be improper inflation pressures.

My last guess would be improper curing of the tire during the "build".

I don't know much, but am pretty good at guessing. LOL

look on the internet on how to tell the manufacturer dates on the tires. Sadly, folks have lost their lives over "brand new" tires, but they were on the shelf too long. I had a friend whose son was almost killed over this. This is a real problem and needs to be addressed back to where you bought them.

They have 70k miles on them. They seem to wear good and they handle great. I check the pressure religously at least once per month. Run them at 33 psi per the owners manual (and door sticker).

I don't know exactly how old they are, but they are the stock ones from the factory when I bought the cage new in 2006. I wouldn't think they are old enough to rot. Guess I will have to check the date code as suggested above.

Looks like rot to me, too! Especially below the lettering, close to the rim!

it called dry rot it comes from being out in the sun and weather plus with 70.000 miles on them that is normal but it is time to replace them because if you let them go they can and will blow out !!

Dry rot.... saw it before... not based on mileage. But based on years of life...

Well, crap. My front E3 has 13k & less than one year, and still has enough tread for 2-3k, but my dealer pointed out some cracks and said it needed to be replaced. Even though I trust him I was kind of blowing off the suggestion, but guess am going to have to bite the bullet and replace.
