The owner's manual says there should be one but for the life of me I cannot find it. I have tried to trace the wires to see if it was under the black plastic cover at the front of the engine but it isn't there. I don't see any obvious extra wires off the battery leading somewhere else either. i am ready to just put my own on since i have an extra but thought I would seek help first. Anyone have a picture of the supposed charge port referenced in the owners manual?

Thanks.

Mark

My 2011 doesn't have one. I have to install it myself. I suspect it's soething that the dealers are supposed to put on, but for whatever reason, sometimes don't.

Thanks cchristo. I did notice a plastic jar of leads on one of the counters priced $6.95 each. Hmmmmm. I will definitely check again and ask about it. Out of principle I think I'll be asking for them to give me one of those in the jar. I suspect one should have been on my bike.

Here's a tip for you. I wired dual connections for our electric vests - one for Pilot at front of the seat, and the Co-Pilots connection exits right beside the 'heated seat' control. I then wired my charger/maintainer with the same connection as the electric vests, and simply plug the battery maintainer into the Co-Pilots connection everytime I park the bike. Takes 10 seconds to plug/unplug.

I have looked 10 + times thinking I was just not finding it. Now that I know some do not have it I don't feel so bad. Will go tomorrow and get another battery tender for the Vision. Anyone know what would happen if I was to wire up the one tender I have for both bikes, would that fly? I guess I could just plug the other one in every couple of weeks. So many questions?????? Thanks as always for all the info!

I don't think that would be a good idea since part of what the tender does is monitor battery condition. It wouldn't have any way of "understanding" what's going on since it won't be able to differentiate between the two batteries.

My charge port is hanging off of the battery easily seen from the front / set up to plug into a battery tender .. I wouldn't advise trying to charge both bike's at the same time depending on how it is hooked up it could act as 24 volt NOT GOOD . Battery Tender offer's extra plug in's for a small fee not sure if you will have to order . My dealer carries extra's .

I think I might have an extra, I just remembered that the TCD had the lead on the battery. I must still have the lead that came with the BT in the box or assorted boxes marked garage. Moved this year and still have not found everything. Thank again for the info.

On my 2009, which had the powerlet recepticals, I just plugged the battery tender into the trunk (which is always hot). On my 2011 the recepticals are the cigarette type and I had to get an adaptor for the battery tender and still use the trunk receptical. I find that easier to plug into than having to bend over and find the battery tender lead off the battery to plug up the charger...must be old age.

My dealer installed mine when the bike was still on the floor @ the dealers, it comes out sort of under the shifter lever between the lower left fairing and the left floorboard, just where it should be for an old fat guy with arthritus. I've found a couple spare extensions that came with other BATTERY TENDERS in the '20 year drawer' of my toolbox soo this Winter, it's off to the electronics supply store to pick up some weatherproof wire heat shrink wrap and a couple of solderless connectors and a serious re route up and to an easier to get to location.

My '08 came with it, but it was in the saddlebag with the manual and the tool kit. I believe installing it it part of "dealer prep" that's often isn't done.

+ 1 on plugging in, in the trunk. Very easy and no gettin' down on the garage floor looking for the plug.

My dealer told me they stopped including them after 2010. I have an email into the mothership to see if this can be confirmed.

Still waiting to see what Polaris/Victory has to say about it not being included on the 2011/2012s but still in the manual. Personally I trust my dealer when they say it isn't included based on my experience with them. Lucky for me I have a freebee coming from a coworker who had an extra and wouldn't take any $ for it.

Not included on 2011 and later models....My dealer used the extra connectors provided with my Battery Tender and tucked plug under right brake fluid can...Most now use the trunk outlet and buy the adapter on the internet for about $7/8....Works great and you don't have to get down on knees to find plug, which is great for us old guys....
