| My custom Vision has a blacked out Victory Stage 1 Level 2 exhaust.
The sound is ok but still a little too "water-muffled" and not crisp enough for my liking. Plus I want to squeeze more performance out of it.
I have thought about aftermarket 2-into-1 systems but I want to maintain the look of this exhaust plus the mufflers have the "Victory Performance" engraving near the tips that I want to keep.
I am thinking about pulling the system down and cutting the left side off where it crosses over from the right side. Then weld a plate to seal the hole leftover from the crossover on the right pipe. Then the crossover side would be sealed and the system reinstalled.
But, before reinstalling the system I would like to modify the existing baffle in the right side or...possibly install a new baffle.
I realize this will offset the current programming because of a change in exhaust pressure.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can accomplish the increase in performance and sound improvement with the exhaust re-fabrication I am thinking of?

| Didn't see you on the victory ride out of Motoprimo today. Nice ride didn't get into the motor plant. The air show was great.
Take a trip down to New Prague there is Khrome Werks exhaust. The guy that owns the place is Jim Priceler. He knows about the vic exhaust and
if any one can tell you about performance and baffles he would be the one. Hes a nice guy and I'm sure would help you any way he can.

Newnan, Ga | Great Question...I got to get more sound out of mine also but don't want to go through a lot of pipes and money to find the right pipes. Surely someone out their has the answer. I was thinking about doing the something along those lines with the S1L2 exhaust. Would you cut the cat conveter out also of the head pipe to open it up and maybe get more sound? |

Northeast Ohio | Can't help you with exactly what you are thinking, but if you want the toughest sound (loudest too), you should go with Ness Big Honkers. It'll sound like a Mack truck. |

Rancho Cucamonga, CA | Lloydz has a 2 into 1 exhaust system with a dummy left muffler, talk to him.
I always thought it would be cool to turn the dummy muffler into an auxiliary fuel tank.

Georgia, west of Atlanta | Best all out pipe for performance would be a 2-1 stepped header, you would have to have some one build it though. 2 advantages: pipe would fit perfect at the exhaust ports and the steps would allow scavenging...................... |

| Do Not mess with the catalytic header. From what I have read from smarter people then me leave it a lone there is NO benefit to take it out and it does rob you of power at certain RMP when you do. |

orrick, mo | if you want to keep the current look you have and want just a better exhaust note try the thrush muffler mod. best bang for the buck. i love mine. |

| Some good ideas but I am not interested in the RPW 2-into-1 because then I do not keep the look of the SL2 mufflers. I am planning to block the left side muffler to make this system a 2-into-1.
The converter stays but I will look at opening up the baffle about 30% or may change it out completely.
Victory needs a support hotline so we can get technical help from their engineers (and yes we all know Victory cannot assume responsibility but would be nice to get unofficial support)... |
