Got another.....

Anybody got the XM activated on your 665 and also have the iPod cable for listening to your iPod? How do you switch from the two sources? It seems the XM is overriding the iPod from playing, I have tried choosing an audiobook on the GPS and then trying to use the iPod but no luck yet......it seems the GPS keeps taking the lead. I do have to get a radio firmware upgrade today but not sure if that is the cure or my ignorance of the 665. Perhaps if there was a way to cut off the XM receiver completely and still use your GPS normally but the only way I see to do that is to go into XM Subscriptions on the GPS and cut it off but then it doesn't allow you to leave that screen til you click OK and turn the XM receiver back on.

Anybody got a clue....

Thanks.

It sounds like you plugged into the aux gps cables (based on your original post). This will alway override ANY other signal when the gps is vocal. I chose not to use that connection primarily because it was mono and I wanted to here my XM and mp3 in stereo. I plugged the gps into the normal aux port and use a swiching box if I ever find a need for any other music device.
If hearing audible commands from yor gps isn't important to you while listening to your iPod, what you may want to change the aux input on the radio from NAV MP3 to AUX. That will mute your gps until you switch it back over again. You can access this using the 'Mode' button on the dash.
