Buford, GA United States | Helen is going to be packed this weekend. Last night my wife's parents called and said that some of their friends are going to Helen this weekend for the Hot Air Balloon Festival. I told my wife that they must have the wrong weekend as this is the Victory Rally weekend and I didn't think somebody would schedule both events the same weekend. I WAS WRONG as this is the 38th annual Helen to the Atlantic balloon race this weekend. I have been to the balloon festival and it is really cool to see but Helen is going to be locked down with traffic. I may change my plans on going up one day... |

Flowery Branch Ga | For all those that need a break from the traffic in Helen---- This coming Saturday there is a charity ride that benefits Hillside Childrens Hospital. The ride starts in Flowery Branch Ga (about an hours ride from Helen) and goes to Midtown Atlanta. Search Hillside on FB. Sorry for the highjack, now back to your regular programming.
