Well, I am starting ride more often now that the weather is warming up. I was on a ride going home tonight in the dark. I was exiting off the interstate and could see another biker in the distance heading down the road I was turning on. I didnt realize it, but he saw me getting off the exit. By the time I turned and a few minutes later, I had caught up with him and now riding behind him. I thought it was strange, but he motioned me to pass him. After I had passed him, he then pulled up beside me and shouted "that is an awesome bike", then kept a close distance behind me. At the next stop sign, he asked if I could pull over so he could check out my Vision Street Premium. I thought to myself, Wow, Cool, so we pulled over at the next gas station. He got off his '07 Harley Street Glide, introduced himself and checked out the Vision. Really nice guy! His name was Billy. He was really impressed and couldn't get over how cool the bike is. He said he had seen Visions from a distance but never up close and this was the perfect time and opportunity, so that's why he asked me to pull over. I had been riding with my HID light on and occasional high beam when he was behind me during that time and he couldnt get over the brightness of how it lights up the highway. He really liked the side badges that lit up, the instrument panel and radio. I asked him to sit on my bike so he could see what it felt like and said "WOW this is cool". We chatted about Victory for a few more minutes before we departed. He said he couldnt wait to get home to check out the bikes on the Victory website. I found out he lives only about a mile from me. Hopefully, we will meet up again and ride together. I would love to see him become a Victory owner. Who knows what kind of seed I planted? It's great advertising for Victory when you take the time for an on-looker who really has a solid interest in your bike. With all that said, it's a new riding season, with new faces and many gauking folks checking out the Vision. Even Harley Guys! Makes riding that much sweeter!

My wife and I took a ride last weekend and stopped at a town for a cup of coffee  about 90 minutes into our ride. While we sat there sipping and talking, the bike in view as usual, we enjoyed the customary gawking that took place each time somebody would walk by the vision. Some would just take a few seconds and keep walking, and then there were the occasional couple or group that would take a good long look and discuss what they thought. We get a real kick out of watching like a little bird off in the distance. Of course occasionally they figure out who owns the bike and they will stop and talk or make comments, usually positive. Just makes the ride that much more fun. ;-)

By the way, regarding your comment about planting a seed of interest in Vic bikes, even the president of Victory Motorcycles stated in his opening comments of the latest issue of Victory Rider magazine that victory owners are their number one source of sales advertising for the brand. Nothing like a happy and enthusiastic customer to spread the good news of a great product line!!

There are so many different bikes out there, even a few that make me turn my head. That being said, the VV makes everyone else take a second look; there's just nothing else like it. Awesome bike, the best I've ever ridden!

Its interesting some people look at my Vision and say "that looks so retro and old classic like a buick" then a second later someone will say
"that looks like Buck Rodgers Space bike"... I think the sad thing "other bikers" get is "pretty paint job" or "nice tassles"..
