YEAH! I have to admit the 'no cages' HD ad is great and by the way wonderful marketing!!, the commercials for STAR motorcycles are what it's all about having fun and freedom on a motorcycle, and until that ONE CC ad last night, all I see out of Iowa is QUADS and those goofy half assed off road quasi-pickup trucks!
HELLO MARKETING DOGS!!! Time to take the basket off of the light and show everyone who might be leaning towards a bike ( also know as motorcycle, scooter, putt, ride) that you sell things other than quads and sleds.
HONDA runs their 'I wanna ride' commercials year round, must work as I see lots of Soichiro's offspring on the road. All we get for POLARIS is 'buy a quad' year round.
But, there I go again, struck down by the obvious-

About a year ago they did that on Direct TV for several weeks which led to me doing the fuel it demo ride and purchasing a very slightly used Anniversary Vision. I didn't know anything about them prior and had thought Polaris was a Canadian company. It must cost a bunch to advertise like that but I think it was effective and I'll buy another and have encouraged many to do the demo ride.

Well, with the Milwaukee middlebuster factory dumping APRILLA and burying BUEHEL they sure put out some bux for their 2011 ad campaign, and I see the ad on a fairly consistent basis so I'm fairly sure it's not a once in a while deal. Quad ads are for hunting season, push them in October and November. I really don't picture a trip for me down the highway to the picnic on a 650 quad.
Yes, advertising costs, but if you don't show the great unwashed what you make, you can't gripe when they don't buy it and then you get referred to as 'the former PONTIAC/MERCURY/OLDSMOBILE' in the great long list of 'companies that shot themselves in the foot'. Did you ever drive past a closed big chain store and puzzle to yourself "I can't remember the last ad they did before they went out of business'.
