Some people wanted to see the headlight that I painted the inner bezel on when it was installed. I am excited about the finished product

Cool!  You added another dimension of being blacked out.

Just curious, did you have to heat up the headlight assembly to pull it apart?

Yeah. Heat it up @ 350 degrees for about 15 min. Then start working it apart. I had to reheat it a couple of time to keep it warm. But only for 5 min at a time. There are tabs around the housing, holding lens and housing together. They are super fragile. A few broke on mine. But all is well. There isn't much work being done there anyways. Once painted, I put the housing only back in the oven and heated @ 350 again to help the silicone work its way into cracks real well. I used marine grade silicone and reassembled. I washed a few days after, being sure to get good amount of water around headlight. No leaks or fogging at all. It took longer to get headlight off the bike then it did to do the job. Easy just time consuming with paint drying and 3 coats

Love the look. One more question was it a gloss paint or flat. Don't know if it will look good on a gray vision but I'm going for it.
Thanks

Thats the spirit! I used gloss black. Post some pics when you finish. Looking forward to seeing it
