Quad Cities, IL | Just what we need!!!! LOL. I love my Vision, love it even more since making my Lloydz mods in Sept. I can hardly imagine "Turbo"...better start saving. That should help me keep up with my buddy on his Triumph Rocket III. Woo hoo. |

LaPorte,Tx. | A turbo just fits for the Vision. If it is properly sized and set up you get boost early which give you a lot of low end torque. I'm interested! I had a turbo bike before and they are a blast!

Centennial, CO | I have some serious questions. I am looking to do some turbo work on my Nissan 350z and finding that a LOT of internals work should be done so as not to blow apart the engine. However, if you keep the turbo boost down a bit and within tolerance for the engine, you could just mount a turbo without much of an issue.
So, the question is, will this mod require internal upgrades or is Lloyd going to set the boost low enough to just bolt-on and then tune??? |

Goldsboro, NC | Curious way to go. As I understand it, turbo helps out the high-revving type of engine, like on a sports bike. An engine that redlines at 5000 rpm might get more bang (pun intended) out of a supercharger.
Or do I have that backwards? |

Memphis | I've heard that the bottom end of the stock 106 can handle up to about 150 horsepower. Would the belt be the weakest link with these big numbers? |

LaPorte,Tx. | A turbo does not need a high reving motor to produce boost. The right size turbo for the motor size is what is needed. Getting boost at the lower RPM of a motor is where technology is today. Small turbos with light weight componets, produce boost almost right off idle. Auto guys are now putting turbos on small 4 & 6 cylnder motors and getting major torque numbers at low PRM from these small motors. Ford now has the Ecoboost motors in 6 and 4 cylinders. A 3.5L motor in an F-150 has the towing capcity of 11,300Lbs. and when not towing can deliver over 20mpg. I had a 1983 Honda 650 turbo, small V-twiin push rod motor with a 4 valve head. Also, in 1983, Suzuki had the GS1100, major HP/Torque motor in that day. The Honda at ~525 lbs, would basically stay with the GS1100 on a fifth gear roll on from 50 mph up to 80 mph, that's how a turbo deliever torque, and torque to me is the fun factor. The bonus was that it always got 53 to 55 mpg on the highway.
The Vision motorcycle begs for a turbo, it will get higher torque, and better gas mileage, that's what is needed in a modern touring motorcycle. |

Georgia, west of Atlanta | Can't wait to see a dyno sheet from Lloyd: I'd expect around 150 ft lbs AND 150 HP out of 10 lbs of boost and 106 inches, a 116 incher would make a little more, and a low compression motor with 12-14lbs of boost even better.........Now what kind of clutch ??? |

Columbia, SC | Would a turbo necessitate a fuel controller? Gut reaction says no, but I'm just curious. I'm interested in a turbo, but I'd rather err MUCH more on the safe side, keeping boost low.
Also, with low boost and a turbo like this, would this be fine for long rides (multiple hours of riding) and with the size turbo needed for safe levels, would you need to cool down after every ride (let the engine idle) and would it be wise to get a module to delay shutdown of the bike to give it time to cool off?
REALLY interested in a turbo. I don't really see the need to personally go as drastic as getting the 116 engine, but a turbo should prove a good cost effective boost in power with little to no ill effects. And I'm a torque junky. I don't like to rev high, and I like the idea of possibly shifting less on a twisty road and having a wider range of power in each gear.

New Bohemia, Va | I'm not a speed hound, but like to make time. I see a turbo on any engine would ease some stress and make run more effeciently. Of course, it adds to its own problems down the road if it goes bad. I'll see what happens when the Vision turbo hits the street and see how it works out. When the fun funds start flowing again I have a few things planned; cam, turbo, exhaust,.... |

| All turbos need to cool down after running down the highway due to the high temps. in the shaft bearings. If it is not allowed to cool the oil will tend to "coke" in the bearings when the impeller shaft stops turning. I always allow my exhaust temp to cool to 300 Degs.F before shutting down the Cummins in my Ram truck. It only takes a couple minutes of idling if the turbo is hot. |

| Thats a stock vegas frame with the front tip overs sectioned from a vision and welded onto the front down tubes. Problem is the wheel base is shorter so the plastics probably don't fit to well. |

Bullhead City, AZ | Just looked at this bike monday night, it's further along now. The pipes look like standard Vision but I was told that they are actually going to be fuel tanks. It also has nitros and methanol. Looks really fast and complicated. |
