Mike,

How do you get yours to work. I have gen3 nano, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, and when it does it freezes after a few minutes.

There are issues with the nano and the sync with Victory, can't blame it all onto I-Pod. Maybe the Victory update will help cure the issue. I will be checking with the dealer when I go in next week for service. Mine locks up, doesn't control right from the handle bar, kinda has a mind of it's own. Will see what the dealer says next week. I do know if you do fool with it, it plays ok, when you try to change using the controls it goes brain dead!

I had my cable replaced last week and it seems a lot of my issues are cured. The only problem I have now is the mute issue.

I broke down and bought a nano. I was using the my old hard drive version at the gym the other day and it fell. I thought maybe it was time to get a nano and forget the worries about damaging the hard drive. At least, this is how I couched it to the other half so I could get a nano and have some cool tunes while riding. I will say though, Victory should have made it more known that regular iPods won't work. But, the good news is that I hooked it up to the bike, and at least on the stand, it works like a charm. It seems to respond quicker than my 30GB one. But, just so you know, there is definitely a bad cord on it. While I was listening to the iPod I picked it up out of the compartment and the sound died, similar to what was happening while riding. However, it did not lock the iPod. I wiggled the cord, and still no sound. I turned the stereo off, then back on, and that seemed to cure it. The dealer is already aware and they said they'd fix it, so no big issue. I hope this helps anyone else that might have that issue. It sucks to buy a new one, but gotta do what I gotta do to have some music. Also, the nano is 3rd gen, and my firmware is 4.08A, and it seems to work fine, but I admit that I didn't try to mute it. Not even sure how really.
