Nice looking frame and bodywork, engine is way too small to be competitive in NHRA pro stock, the V-twins there are 160 cu in for 60 degree engines and 200 cu in is allowed for 45 degree engines. The four cylinders are allowed 101 cu in and they are ALL making roughly 320 HP................
Good link to another Victory hot rod shop though, never heard of them before, but that dosen't mean anything. They may be great or they may be terriible, time will tell and so will their race efforts..............
Lloyd or KevinX may be able to answer this, but from what I've learned so far a slightly larger than 4.125" bore is about as big as you can use on a Victory engine, you could stroke it to make it bigger but that kills the rev capability. I don't believe anyone is casting big bore high deck cases for a Victory design engine. But if someone did they might be able to lobby for a mid 180 cu in engine at 52 degrees, that would make competitive power...........

Bike is being run in AMRA against 2 class's. Pro Mod, and Comp[formaly Destroyer] and should be competative in both. With the rear tire size down to a 8" slick for Comp it may be tough in PM, but Jethro is a real gamer. His previous bike was based on a C chassis, and while it should have been a mid 9 second bike it did a best of 10.001 at 130+. He was just getting clutch managment down at the end of the season with a PMRT center force centrifigal clutch. This bike should bust into the 8's pretty much out of the gate. The engine in it is a 116 makeing around 180HP this year, and the whole package should be around 375lb

As for the max Bore being 4.125. Somebody needs to tell that to Dave of PMRT. His new motor is 120" of BORE. NO STROKE. Just gotta use aluminum sleeves, and cut the case's
Here is some pix I got today from Jethro...

Cool so somehow he's getting a 4.25" bore on the cases, I suppose thats the maximum bore size with stock cases ?? Anyway 120 cu in should get him in the 190HP range with no power adders, I wish the best of fortune for his racing effort next season. I also noticed they are doing port work for Victory heads, kevin do you know anything about their headwork ?? Do they offer a nice street port ??

Oh and in case I got anyone upset about the racing potential of the Victory engine, Yeah it's a great motor and I'm sure Lloyd can get 200HP out of a 116 or 120 cu in all out race engine, but the cases are just not there to make a NHRA engine, you need the ability to use 5.00" bore cases for the required cubic inches and to keep the stroke short for 8500 rpm capability, speaking of the twins only that's the rpm range the 160 cu in G squared motored Buells and the special billet made Vance and Hines V-Rods operate in................ Hmmm, some one got an extra $200,000.00 and a 5 axis mill ??

Talking with Dave[PMRT]; I have heard him talk about hitting better then 4.5" on custom cyls since he would not have to worry about cooling. Past that though you run out of room on the pads for studs. Dave is truly the mad scientist of the Victory world. I doubt we will see Vics run Pro Stock in NHRA, but if anybody can make those kind of numbers. It will be him. We are after all talking about the same guy that made 130HP out of one of the original Vic motors, and plays around with his roots blown 92" bike that lays down numbers in the high 160's.

Not sure about his street work on porting on freedom heads, but his CNC drag heads kick serious ass

Kevin,

Who would you recommend for quality head work for the victory 4 valve head? a shop thats set up with Sunnen / Serdi equipment and tooling?

Lloydz should be able to provide. If not in house he would know a KA shop to provide an above average service. Roll on Victory Project 200+
Wish I was the pilot of this project bike. Old but not used up yet.

First off I would like to say that equipment is not what makes the shop. Lloydz does my head work because he[Adam?] has spent many, many housr working on a flow bench to get it right, and there is no reason for me to screw around

Thanks for the credible statement about their shop.  No doubt leaders in Victory performance development.  So true about equipment and the person who operates it.

I do appreciate the project in this topic since I am deeply involved in the NHRA community.  Out West I am probably close to being the only person riding my Victroy around the pits at the Major events between rounds.
