Columbia, SC | I'm gonna use the wiring diagram from the tech reference and wire my GPS cable into the bike, but where can I tuck it in when the GPS isn't attached? I want it out of the way when I'm not using it so it's hidden and doesn't disrupt the coolness of the bike. Thanks.

Sugar Land, TX (Outside of Houston) | How are you mounting it? If it is a Garmin and you use the Victory Mount, then just drill down through the console and run it under there. If you are using some other typr of mount then it really depends where you are putting it. |

I don't use a GPS often enough to have a mount permanantly on my bike. A little RAM ball I don't mind. So I'll be pulling the cord to the right to attach to the GPS by the brake reservoir.

Sugar Land, TX (Outside of Houston) | I would leave the cable mounted to the Handle Bar just so you don't have to continually fish it out and wrap it p to the handle bars when you do use it. You can run it along the backside of the handle bars following the existing cables and tie wrap it to them to dress it up. Not sure how big your connector is, but if you can weather proof it when not used but it could be attached to the brake reservoir with a small piece of velcrow to stay put when not in use.
Other than that, you will have to tuck it away on the right side of the console in the open area. Just make sure to tie it up so it does not drop down on the engine when not being used. |

Columbia, SC | I was kinda eyeing that right side, under the plastic where the gas cap is...I just wonder how important keeping the connector out of the elements is. Obviously, the GPS is weather proof, however that's when the connector is physically connected. Leaving it out in the open I'm not sure is a good idea. Thanks for the tips. I'll be keeping up my almost neverending questions and learning more and more for when I do my slight modifying. Next mods are the GPS mount and installing the ipod cable. Then the garage door opener with a button on the console. After that, a new horn (probably dual horns), then save up some cash and go full LEDs front and back. MAYBE with the sequential lighting. And probably the last thing I'll do is save up cash and get the victory CB radio/intercom. Mostly for the intercom and to put the radio through the headsets for my wife, but I do go on group rides and I'm sure the CB will come in handy.
Anything after that will be for play or show.
