Has anyone had a Clutch Assit Mechanism or an EZ Clutch installed on their Vision.

North Orange County CA | The Vision has a hydraulic mechanism so the ez-clutch type products are not an appropriate fix to reduce lever pull.
Some guys with carpal tunnel or arthritis have switched the Vision components out with those from the XC or the Vision 8 Ball which I understand use a cable actuated clutch.
Im sure somebody on the board can tell you how to do it and what parts you need. |

New Bohemia, VA | yes, i'm waiting to hear more on this subject. I may to go this route, especially in the cold where functionality of my left hand drops dramatically and I refuse to stop riding because of it. |

I changed out the clutch fluid a few weeks back. The clutch had gotten hard to pull and didn't fully engage when released. It has gotten 100% better since the change, like new once again. It was a pain in the arse to bleed when I accidentally ran the clutch reservoir dry, but worth it. Now, you've been warned!! |

New Bohemia, VA | Thanks TP99, I'm doing my homework on this but I don't see anywhere what the devise looks like, the E-Z clutch, or how it is installed or what the cost is, I'm still looing though, and thinking. Things are kinda tight at the moment and I don't want to be screwing around with the bike and not be able to ride at all. While looking for E-Z clutch information I came across other clutch helpers adding to my confusion. Fortunately I believe I survive another winter as I got it figured out how to disengage my clutch when I lose my overall grip in the cold. |

Central New York | varyder - If I were in your situation I would look at a different direction. I would look for a used master cylinder from a "parts out" Vision wreck. I would then examine if and how the piston cylinder could be bored out and by how much. A "friend" in a machine could spin you a new piston if needed. Or maybe just some oversize rubbers. I would think a few thousandths increase would make a huge leverage difference.

From what can tell its just a longer ,fancier lever to replace the stock clutch actuating lever. Gotta love "modern" technological advances.

Thanks for the suggestions. I will have to dig a little harder. My 08 isn't super hard to pull or anything, but I'm not 20 yrs old anymore either. Might check into replacing the fluid.

| There is a small company in CA that made a billet slave cylinder conversion for my Spyder, and it works great.
Maybe if enough of us ping on him, he might think it is a worth while venture to make one for the Vision.
