Northeast Ohio | Not sure if it is all this talk of the new 100,000 mile transmission, but I have now noticed a slight vibration in the floorboards at ~70-75 mph (2500rpm in 6th) on the highway. It seems it only happens at this speed , rpm and gear. I really can't remember if I always had this or it is something new. It feels like I have a little more vibration on the right side vs. the left.
I would love to hear from ALL riders to see if I need to look into it more, or if it is normal.
Again, it isn't horrible, just something I have recently noticed. |

LaPorte,Tx. | Mine does the same thing. It is pretty much right at 2700 rpm...give or take 50 rpm on either side of that. Can't feel it when my feet are on the pegs though. Probably all Visions don't have this, as they are all not the same. I'm not worried about it, I've noticed it over the past 52,000 miles. |

Georgia, west of Atlanta | Well, I can't really say. I still ride my RoadGlide too and hell the floorboards on the Vision are of course smoother than the RG. But we gotta remember it's still a big stonkin V-twin and it's gonna make some vibration, it ain't no GoldWing............. |

New Bohemia, VA | ...vibration in the floorboards? I've never noticed this on mine, but I'll see if it does it the next time I ride. I thought the floorboards are very well insulated against any vibration. |

Northeast Ohio | It's not bad and it ONLY happens for me around 2500 rpm in 6th gear. I think that is around 75 mph. If I slow down or run it up a little more, it smooths right out.

New Bohemia, VA | ....ah, I see, I never ride at 2,500rpm in 6th gear.... 3,000 is the ride point for me...., wait, or is it 2,700..., hmmm, I'll have to take the wrong, I mean the long way to church tonight just to see. |

New Bohemia, VA | Just for the record, 2,500 in 6th is about 65mph. I paid attention and what some might call vibration, the best cure for that is to ride a big dog or harley for a while then get back on the Vision. If you do have a serious vibration though, please check mounting hardware to ensure you don't have a pending problem. The vibration I felt wasn't noticable until I looked for it, now it vibrates all the time, thanks for pointing that out.

Gettysburg, 2008 Tour Premium | Vibration is caused by power pulses, if you remove all those go fast goodies it would be smoother. It could also be a slight tuning issue or in this case fuel settings on the VFC. I am not saying something is wrong. I also notice things on my bike when I am tired that never catch my attention other times, my floorboards have never got my attention though. It could even be a tire. Is it both floorboards? |

Northeast Ohio | It is both, but I seem to notice it more on the right. It is really, really slight. It's not like it is making my feet fall asleep or anything. I don't think I noticed until Vic came out with all this 100K mile 4&6th gear has less backlash, smoother transmission. Now I am looking for something wrong... |
