Webhair - 2010-07-21 6:54 AM I like the look and the concept a lot. But - what happens if they catch on something? Just a safety concern.

Webhair...just curious....what are you afraid they will catch?. The Whole assembly may only lower the floorboard clearance by about 1/2". The floorboard mount that attaches your floorboards to your bike sit much lower then that. There are other parts of the Vision and X-Series bikes that are mounted lower on the bikes.

?

The great thing about these is that they are not even noticeable unless you actually point them out to someone.

They are recommended for tall riders. Medium and short riders would not be able to take full advantage of them.

?

In fact, the person that actually designed them is a member here (chesshiretuna). And he uses them on his Vision on a daily basis. I am sure he would welcome any questions you may have if I can't answer them.

Let's see what would I catch - everything - that is just my luck.

Seriously most likely nothing that would not catch with crash bars on a regular bike. It is just that your foot would not be able to naturally swing back in an emergency.

It sound like they would not work for me since someone said they are for tall riders. Oh well, I still like the stealth look and the concept of them.

I only plan to use them on longer rides. Planning on driving to Hershey PA from here in Williamsburg VA labor day. I graduate my 10 month Army school end of August so me and a couple of buddies are going on a vacation. See gettysburg and Hershey.

take RT15 all the way, starting out on I-64 west of Richmond --- great ride, but you do run into some construction before you leave VA ---
