So Cal | I quit ordering parts from Victory. I'm still waiting for a service manual. The day I walk into a Victory dealer and see it on display, that's when I'll buy. Getting jerked around by Victory has tarnished an otherwise, pleasent riding expeirience. |

| Marc, I just got a chromed pair from CycleDragon (one of our sponsors) and the look FANTASTIC !!!! The best chrome job I have seen on the tipovers. They use a marine chromer that does a triple chrome job. They chrome the OEM tip-overs and swap them out for cores. I highly recommend them. My original dealer's chromer did a lousy job on my 1st pair. I have seen 3 pairs from the Cycle Dragon's chromer and all 3 pairs came out like mirrors. NO PITTING.
BTW, on Friday, I got chrome rims, pulley, belt guard, center console, forks and rear tip overs. I also got my 15K mile service and a set of new tires. They really did a nice job on all of the chrome parts. The forks look GREAT. The forks are completely smooth, no orange peel or pits. I just have to do the grab handles to get rid of the final gray.
I will be posting some picts soon. I also added some running lights and spent the day today adding a light system on my buddy's Vision. His wiring job came out much better than my first attempt. I am going to rerun my wires the same way I ran his and relocate the controller like his. He has a new LED brake light, LED turn signals in the mirrors and LED running lights. He should have the LED trunk light kit within the week. We plumbed up everything today for the trunk lights to be dropped in once they are made. We used a lot of solder and shrink wrap. Everything is run through a trailer light controller and is on its own fuse with separate power and ground run straight to the battery. There should be no ground loops introduced into this system. I am going to swap out the fuse with a circut breaker so I will never have to swap out a fuse, just push a button if it ever trips. Forget the covers and get the real McCoy.

So Cal | It was a nice day so I made a special trip to check out Cycle Dragon. I agree Tim, their chrome tip overs are fantastic. They are also black anodizing the brushed aluminum panels and dash panels. It has a matt finish to it but it's a nice effect. I think the dash panel would eliminate the glare. |

The rims, pully, belt guard, and forks are on my winter project list.

Is there someone out there who offers the LEDs as a kit? I'm interested in converting mine over, but thought I would need to "design" my own. In particular, I'm looking to convert ALL the lights in the big V tail light to LEDs. Icing on the cake would be to have numerous LEDs for the turn signals, and to have them illuminate at slightly different times, in the direction of the turn, similar to what the old T-Brids and Cougars turn signals used to do. Something like 3 sets of LEDs in each side of the V, with the center one being a lower wattage running light in the center, a higher wattage string to the right of it for the brake light, and a second higher wattage string on the outside that serves as the sequential turn signal. |

| I got all of the chrome items from CycleDragon (rims, pulley, belt guard, center console, forks and rear tip overs). Their prices are competitive, but their chrome jobs on the cast items are the best that I have seen to date. Time will tell about longevity. Also, their chromed factory tins look much better than the factory chrome tins. Tim

So for reason the chrome dash does not cast a reflection in the windshield. I will have to ride some more in other light conditions, but I am not seeing the big, wide reflection in the windshield like the gray dash did. So did you pick up any chrome while you were there ??? Tim

| There are no specific kits for the Vision yet that I am aware of. I searched for applicable generic parts from various venders and made up my own wiring harnesses. I used the Draw-Tite trailer light controller to run the extra lights so I would not burn out any existing wiring harnesses or controllers. The trailer light controller only takes a couple of milli-amps from the main harness to detect the state of the lights, thus adding negligible load. I also added in 1 extra realy in the mix so I could have BRAKE-ONLY functionality. The trailer light controller combines turn and brake together which doesn't work for center brake-only lights. Together I have the following functionality: - Brake Only
- Left Turn & Brake (and flashers)
- Right Turn & Brake (and flashers)
- Running Lights
Everything is wired off of a single fuse and is completely redunadant. If it fails, you still have the factory lights. If the factory lights fail downstream of the factory controller, the aftermarkets still work. Tim |

After I got done talking with them and seeing how many choices I had, my head was spinning. I decided to step back and think about what I wanted before I ended up buying everything. I really liked the sound of their pipes though. I gave up on the Victory pipes a long time ago. Even if they are available now, I feel Victory doesn't deserve my money. Probably pipes first. Then the black dash and chrome tipovers for now. |

Painting or powdercoating is a lovely thing! and I want to Powder coat chrome(gatling tips)
Thats my business.
