New Bohemia, VA | according to the manual, it says to knock it out. well the problem is that it sits down inside the aluminum frame and there is nothing to "knock" against to drive it out. Very pecarious and I'm not sure how to tackle this. Prying out may malform the aluminum where it is suppose to seat, and cutting with a chisel runs the same risk. Being harden steel inside aluminum makes it very difficult.
If any of you high tech mechanics knows a secret they would like to share I would most appreciate it.
I thought about heating the aluminum but it is too thick on outside and require a lot of heating to do what I hope to do, expand and let it fall out. I'm at a lost at the moment.

Kincardine, Ontario, Canada | The manual refers to a long flat punch through the access notch in the frame. Having never seen this, I can't offer any insight.
I have used a Dremel tool to cut partway through a race in two locations, then using a hardened chisel giving the race a sharp hit. Being hardened steel they fracture very easily, you will need to grind away a fair amount to allow room for the race to break. |

New Bohemia, VA | yeah I saw that too but I don't see no access notch. Done for the night. I was comtemplating the cutting piece as I've done that before also. I don't have a dremel but there is no time like the present. Thanks for that suggestion. |
