Just trying to enjoy my new ride and not go crazy changing/adding everything right off the bat. Saw a couple of things I was curious about & thought I throw out there for the experts opinions-my bike is stock right now. First I saw a K&N style air filter

and a super dooper fuel control ?

I'm in no hurry to change anything and S1L1 would most probably be the way I'd go but I like to explore all options- I was thinking AtomBomb+ Ness air filter+ fuel control for a cheapo stage 1?

Really depends on your taste and how loud and fast your want your Vision. The atom-bombs are probably on the higher end of loudness. I personally like a lot of rumble, but not too loud. I have the S1L1 with Gatlin tips and it's just about right. Good rumble, you really hear it when you throttle it but not so loud as to piss of the neighbors.

That fuel controller sounds gimmicky. The only controllers I would recommend or consider are Lloydz VFC's http://www.lloydz.com or Dynojet Power Commander http://www.powercommander.com/ - Each of these comes with a mapping that is needed for the EFI. It's probably not a good idea to add the K&N without remapping the EFI. Others can chime in on this.

The S1L1 comes as a kit and includes a vented air box, performance air filter and EFI mapping (which is required because of the additional air flow to the engine).

Bang for the buck would be the S1L1 or S1L2 pipes from Vic (L2 are just a bit louder than L1), the VFC, Lloydz Intake plate, and you will be rocking probably somewhere around 20-30 more HP and at least 10-20 more ftlb on Torque (maybe more). Both of the fuel controllers mentioned here have EFI mappings that are part of the kit. If you really want to ramp it up a bit more, add Lloydz performance cams for the Vision with the pipes above and it will definitely put a smile on your face, some zip in your wrist and power to beat most HD's (even with double the investment in performance parts).

I will be adding the VFC3, the intake plate and cams this spring...can't wait...it's going to be sweet!
