I have an 08 Premium tour 11,200 miles. I run Amsoil in the bike ( not starting an oil thread).
I was out today and thought the gear shifting seemed a little louder and rougher than usual. typicaly its pretty smooth. When I stopped a checked the linkage. The splined piece coming out of the case (tranny) seems to have a little play. That does'nt seem normal to me, its not real sloppy , but it does have play. Could someone tell me if theirs is loose or ridgid.
Thanks John

Should be a very slight amount of play, maybe a 1/16 play. It is quite cold here yet, not sure in your area BUT the Vision is really noisy to start and my best guess is your clutch fluid needs replaced. As the clutch fluid gets contaminated the clutch doesn't fully disengage and it gets REAL clunky and sluggish to shift. I'm planning to replace my fluid clutch with a cable off the 8-Ball Vision.
