Has anyone installed the Scorpio i900 on their Victory Vision? I recently ordered one with the connector kit. I am wondering where the interface plugs are located on the bike before starting the install. Also which wire is safest to cut for the Ignition Kill and anti hijack cut off would be.

The manufacturer makes the connector but cannot advise where it goes on the Victory Vision.

Any help appreciated!

how much was that kit? if you dont mind me asking.. i used to have alarm systems on all my bikes in the past, this is the first bike (and the most expensive) im not putting an alarm on.. my insurance wont give a discount and they told me for the price of the alarm i could have upped my insurance for a few years to completley cover a theft. but thats not my point of this message, i was just wondering what it costs... i heard they are a good brand name, if not the best..

I found a complete kit on ebay from biohazardcycles. They are selling it for $347.00 which includes the OEM connector, remote ignition disable, perimeter sensor and built in backup battery. A good value as a package. Here is a link to their ebay store. http://myworld.ebay.com/ebaymotors/biohazardcycles/
Try this one for the item itself. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SCORPIO-900R-SRI900R-i900-900-ALARM-...

I had looked into this unit some time ago. By the time they made the Vision harness I had research and my insurance would not give a discount for it. Plus I thought about it and I don't park where I might need it even when riding cross country and finding motels at random. Most motels allow me to park my bike right at the front door where the desk clerk can see it all night or it's right outside my window. Just something to think about.

my insurance co Geico added a ton more coverage for things like theft for an extremely good price! and the price of my old alarm could cover this added coverage for MANY years. see for me in the past all my alarms had issues. either with the remote or with false alarming. or just completley NOT working at all.. one of my friends had his alarm fail him on a trip and it wouldnt allow the bike to start!! he had to get in there and figure it all to disable the alarm. for (me) the alarms have been a hassle and more of a toy than anything useful. plus have you ever noticed how quiet the motorcycle alarms are compared to a car alarm. On my last bike i set my alarm off on my vulcan 2000 in Lowes parkinglot and you know Hardly anyone gave a crap. no one really looked to see what was happening. And the pager feature was buggy if your in a building with alot of metal.. The siren was so low on volume compared to a car that if someone was to put my bike in a van or truck they could drown out the alarm by blowing their horn or with a loud exhaust.. Im speaking of my experience not this alarm in the thread. Bottom line from my insurance company was. while you alarm may or maynot help against theft. If it is stole your not getting get money from the alarm company, vs your insurance company and if you add extra coverage your even better off..

I have the Scorpio i900 on my 10th anniversery Vision #21. I also had a Scorpio on my Vagas custom for 3 years. It is fun to sit in a resturant and watch people get close to my Vision only to set off the perimeter alarm and scare them away. I can tell you there is NO beter system on the market PERIOD! The GPS based systems only track the bike when stolden and are after the fact systems rather than protection systems. Install is easy the system plugs in under the seat and the remote is water and shock proof. That being said peace of mind and knowing your bike is protected even in your own garage is well worth the cost of this amazing product!

Thank you Freezedry. I have been in the car alarm business for years and know the alarms are mainly for the thieves. True that most people ignore alarms but the bad guy attempting theft will pay attention. It is a deterrent only and if they really want the bike they will get it.
Having the alarm puts the odds in your favor. I have also had other bikes with alarms equipped with perimeter protection and really enjoy watching when folks get too close. I will feel more secure parking at work since I am unable to see the bike in the parking lot during the day.
