I just got my bike back from the dealer Friday. I added Lloyds VM1 Cams, Lloyds Fuel Controller, and a Ness Twin Sucker. I also had the heads and cylinders Diamond Cut. She looks and sounds SWEEEEET! Now if this damn snow would ever stop I could tell you how it runs.

The picture does not do it any justice. Someday it will quit snowing and I'll snap a few shots out in the sun.

I think the only place that does them is www. diamond-heads.com located in Henderson NV. Last quote I got was $400 + shipping. You need to tear it down and send the heads to them. They do look really nice. On my wish list.

The price to cut the heads and cylinders is not so bad but the total cost can get expensive. To my knowledge Diamond Heads is the only game in town. They have gone up a little over the years and now want $450 for their Standard Cut. They now have a Show Cut for $550 but they couldn't explain to me what I would get for my extra $100. Looks like it does more detail on the Screaming Eagles but it doesn't add anything to the Vic. On top of the $450 plan another $120 for shipping and insurance. Total time depends and where you live. In my case it took over three weeks which was mostly shipping time. They say about 3 days to go through the shop. Now for hard/expensive part. Yes you have to tear the motor apart. The heads will need disassembled before they go out. Cost to do it depends on your situation. If you can do it yourself it's mostly time, if you have you dealer do it it's mostly money. How much??? You will have to ask him for a quote.
Personal opinion, I would never tear apart a perfectly good motor just for Diamond Cutting, but in my case it had to be torn apart anyway so I thought "What the hell"

Why did the motor have to be torn apart anyway. Problems?

Yes...........and no. There was nothing mechanically wrong with the motor but the paint blistered on the front jug. I first reported it when the bike had maybe 5000 miles on it. At that time it wasn't too bad and only in a few places. Victory said the paint was fine but the casting never completely out-gassed which caused the blisters. They said they would stand behind it if I wanted it replaced now or at a later date. I decided to leave it alone hoping it wouldn't get any worse, well by the end of last year it had gotten significantly worse so I decided it was time to have it fixed. I hated to tear apart a completely good motor, but since it was coming apart anyway why not make it look nice.
