Subject: GXM-30 Questions

I have a GXM-30 installed on my 08 Vision through a 2820 Garman GPS. One of my questions is
can I still run my IPOD through my radio? I can get my satelite reception when using the music
player on my GPS. It seems to over ride the IPOD. Is this something that will cause a problem
with my radio?
Also can I put the antenna someplace other than on the dash? Say under the back panel (bike is
now in street form). There is a really good spot back there if it will work,Any input appreciated.

Thanks and Ride Safe, Mike

Mike,

I have a Zumo 550 with the GXM-30 antenna.

I cut the factory (Vision) audio/IPod cable (was in left compartment) in half and extended it so it plugs into the Zumo.

I use the mode switch on the radio to switch to AUX and it plays through the speakers.

I have the GXM-30 mounted on the center console below the ignition switch, it's needs to be open to the sky.

Hi Fred,

It's the $OEM$ I got a whopping 15% off from the dealer.

I strapped a small barrel bag on it from Wisconsin-Tennessee and back.

Mounted my GXM 30 under the windshield, just need to unsnap the windshield trim panel, screw mount the magetized plate in the center space right under bottom edge of windshield run wire through console.

I wouldn't suggest mounting under the aluminum windshield trim panel, I had it there first & reception would come n go, then I switch to on top of the dash & now have perfect reception all of the time
