This year, I have put a whopping 1,500 miles on my Vision, and over 9,000 on my Road Glide that I acquired on 31 Jan 09. My HD is in the shop this week for 25k service, so I have been riding the Vision for a few days. I've had several revelations:

1. First, that I miss you guys... LOL (Did I suck up well enough...?)
   
2. Next, I miss my Vision. I haven't been riding it due to some small things going wrong with it, and major headaches with the dealer over fixing them, now that the 2008 1 year factory warranty (*grumble*... *grumble*) is done with. I have not been riding my ViVi in fear that something else will go wrong with ViVi and I'd have to go back to the local dealer and deal with them and end up with another migraine. I was talking to a guy recently at a bike show, who had his Hammer entered in the show. We were both bemoaning the local dealer. He told me about the dealer in JAX that he bought his Hammer and his Jackpot from, said that he'd never deal with this dealer here ever again. Has anyone here dealt with them with their Vision? My big complaint with the dealer here is that they don't seem to have anyone on staff that knows diddly squat about the Vision, including the sales staff. (I found more info on this site to answer my questions that anyone there knew...) I had to explain to customer askign questions on the sales floor how to operate the windshield, the light in the trunk and open the gas door. *Doh!*
   
3. My old 30gb iPod Classics, which never will work on the Vision, works meticulously on the HD. Never locked up on me once! Go figure. Must be the perfect type of vibration on the Vision to kill an iPod! LOL
   

Unfortunately, the lemon law does not apply to motorcycles.

Teach - 2009-11-28 10:20 PM GAT, glad to see you post. Ain't a thing wrong with riding the HD, but you should get some miles on the Vision, lol... Since you've been absent I've broke about everything I could on mine, almost got rid of it using the Lemon law but decided not to. Instead I'm just gonna make a few changes (add ons) and ride it until it dies. Keep banging that dealer on the head until they know what they are doing. Glad your safe and still with us.... T

10-1-782 part 11 of the GA lemon law: (11) "New motor vehicle" means any self-propelled vehicle, primarily designed for the transportation of persons or property over the public highways, that was leased or purchased in this state or registered by the original consumer in this state and on which the original motor vehicle title was issued to the lessor or purchaser without having been previously issued to any person other than the selling dealer. If the motor vehicle is a motor home, this article shall apply to the self-propelled vehicle and chassis, but does not include those portions of the vehicle designated, used, or maintained primarily as a mobile dwelling, office, or commercial space. The term "new motor vehicle" does not include motorcycles or trucks with 10,000 pounds or more gross vehicle weight rating. The term "new motor vehicle" shall not include any vehicle on which the title and other transfer documents show a used, rather than new, vehicle. The term "new motor vehicle" includes a demonstrator or lease-purchase, as long as a manufacturer's warranty was issued as a condition of sale, unless specifically excluded under this definition.

Now, I know that you'll say, "in your state it is". Read the fine print. Motorcycles are considered recreational vehicals. Your lawyer friend may just want your money. Tell hem to take a hike.

KS seems to include motorcycles by the discription of a mototr vehical: (2) "motor vehicle" means a new motor vehicle which is sold or leased in this state, and which is registered for a gross weight of 12,000 pounds or less, and does not include the customized parts of motor vehicles which have been added or modified by second stage manufacturers, first stage converters or second stage converters as defined in K.S.A. 8-2401, and amendments thereto.

This simply is not true. The web site you provided seems more like a virtual billboard for a lawyer for hire.

Hey guys! Thanks for the welcome back. Yes, I've had all of the radio upgrades, to no avail. Won't get started on the problems with getting them done. I connect the ipod through the AUX cable, nit through the ipod specific cable, Teach. I rerouted it out of the glove box and attach the ipod on the dash with Velcro, thinking maybe heat was causing problems (and to be able to get to the controls easier, since it's not available to me through the radio controls). Still locks up just the same.

I consider this my "cold weather bike", as was stated, it's not good for riding in the heat. But, between engine heat, and the seat and grips, it's perfect to take off a little chill! I've debated on doing an exhaust upgrade, but I like to sneak up on some of my friends when we ride. Plus, the sound keeps with the "Spaceship" image... LOL My son (who is 12, 5'9" and 180 lbs with a size 13 boot), prefers the Vision for comfort, but like the Harley for the "cool factor", although he likes the Vision for the "oooh, ahhhh factor"

Still no enlightenment on a dealer in JAX. I think I will make that a seperate, specifically titled thread.
