I am installing my wings tonight and I notice that the bottoms ride pretty low to the tip overs. I usually stretch my feet out in this area.
Has anyone mounted them higher towards the upper air wing and what did you think? I have not stuck them on, yet. Or, should I try them and cut them off later, if they're in the way?
Thanks for your input.

Bluegill,

I can touch them with my toes. I would move them up an inch if I could.

FYI, Do not adjust them with your feet. They are breakable. It they are really hard to adjust you might re-torque the bolts that squeeze the pivot point.

Ride safe!

Thanks for the tip. I moved them up to where the top of the lower is even with the bottom of the upper and my toes have room.
That's why I ask the experienced before I make the same mistake......

As for moving them from the recommended location, I'd think twice. The reason you have a template is because they really should only be in that location. 1) because they were designed in that position based on wind tunnel tests for best performance, and 2) more importantly those hing bases, as you noticed if you installed them yourself, are labelled UR, LR, UL, & LL for a very specific reason. They are all a very specific shape on the mounting side to perfectly fit the compound contours of the fairing WHERE INTENDED, and moving them, even a little, will cause a less than perfect fit and likely an adhesion failure over time.

We do have a fix for this... For a small charge we will cut a set of lowers straight at the bottom, eliminating the notch, thereby creating additional foot space.

And more importantly guys, if, or more realistically, when, your plastic ones break I offer powder coated or chromed billet replacements if you weren't aware, and they're far more reasonably priced than buying replacement plastic OEM ones that'll only break again anyway.

Pm me for the discount code to receive 10% off if you ever decide you want some.

Will @ CycleOpsUSA did this for me and it worked out great. I sent him an outline of my plastic lowers (that I had cut to fit) and he cut down a set of lowers before powder-coating them for me in Gloss Black.

They work and look great and I can still stretch my feet out without hitting the lowers with my boot toe.
