Might be a bit early, but thought I'd start making a list for Santa.

So far a tire pressure monitor, heel toe shifter, mirror turn signals, and a travel cover. Also considering the solo tour bag, but since the rain gods always seem to think that my bike needs a good washing when I travel, can anyone advise how good it is at keeping the contents dry?

Lenny - as for me, I'm just waiting for my dealer to let me know when my VV is coming in? That would be a nice early Christmas present.

And the rain has been relentless for us in this area.

I rode 200 miles once in rain so hard I was watching my GPS because I could not see the road. Solo Tour Bag kept everything dry.

How well does the Vision handle the rain. I've got a VTX w/switchblade windshield and it does okay in a light rain but anything else I'm pulling over and putting on rain gear. Does the fairing with uppers/lowers deflect the rain away - somewhat?
Still waiting for mine to come in. And patience is not one of my virtues.

I hear other guys saying they ride in the rain with just their shoulders getting wet.
Maybe it is because I am larger than most, but I still get wet riding in the rain.
It is better than most bikes, but rain is still rain.
She still handles great in the rain.

Heel shifter is great, don't forget the passenger floorboard blocks.
Unless your passenger has very long legs, they will rub on the side bags.

Good to hear 57.

As for riding in the rain, if you can keep moving (not likely to happen in Bowie) it's possible to stay pretty dry. There are a couple of post that talk about it. If your question concerns handling, I picked mine up from dealer about 70 miles away and started out in a light rain. After putting my first 10 miles on it the skies opened up (hail and reported tornado in the area) and it rode great. Actually would have been a fun ride if only I could have seen more than a few feet in front of me.

Helps a bit if you can remember to keep your hands loose on the grips particularly if the wind picks up a bit.

satellite radio that doesn't cost $1K
2 cases of Amsoil
and I'm sure more things will be popping up.

I've already set up my needs list versus wants list.
Needs: Heel-toe shift, passenger floorboard blocks, lowers
Wants: Everything else.
