Did you experience the howling sound from your stock Dunlop tires as many of us have ? I'd also like to know if there is an alternative to the stock tires without the howling, We have enough coyotes here in Pa. Lol !

The Bridgestone Excedras are a fantastic upgrade... You want the ones that are Goldwing specific. Great grip in the wet or dry. I have 8K on mine and they still look new....

How often do you guys check your air pressure, I check mine about every two weeks. I just changed my rear tire at 16,268 miles and it still has tread on it, it was down to the wear indicator so I changed it.

BUBBA - Check the tire pressure every Couple of weeks here

Dealer checks mine (I hope) twice a year when I'm in for spring and fall service. Are you worried they leak, or something? Mine have 11,000miles on them and I will likely put new rubber on before any serious spring/summer riding. About $650 in Seattle - $1,000 in Vancouver for the stock tires.

And yah, I do 'eyeball' the tires every time I ride.

I have some 4500 miles on the rear Avon Cobra and just about the same on the front. So far little to no wear. I got 10k out of both rear tires prior to the Avon, they were both E3's.... but what surprized me was how quickly the front was shot, 15500. I'm guessing that the Avons will go at least as long as the E3 on the rear (10-12k) which is reasonable for a rear, but I am hopeful for longer on the front. I believe road composition and ride habits play the biggest role in deciding longevity. Chances are good if you ride a lot of slab you'll get longer out of both, but if you ride a lot of twisties (I do) you'll be in the average of 10k rear and double for the front. As stated earlier I was surprized the E3 front died so quickly.

I have a set of used Exedras in our size with 700 miles on them for $200 shipped. I got them in February of this year. No punctures or damage.
