I was just wondering. How many of you fellow Vision owners washing you bike by hand and get cut? I cant count the time i Bleed when i wash the Vision.. I know its my fault for not being careful, But that grey metal trim above the engine gets me all the time! i wash it with a sponge and i always forget and end up cutting my finger(s). Then edges are razor sharp! lol (right above where it says 106)

Cant say I've ever cut myself on the Vision. If you don't mind a suggestion; Spray the bike down with straight simply green concentrate, wait 5 minutes and then wash it down with whatever you normally would (sponge and soap). The simply green takes care of those hard to reach spots. Raise the windshield before you start. I use the sponges with terry cloth cover they sell at autozone.
The other option would be to wear "werx" gloves when washing the bike.
Sorry can't be more help, but hope you heal ok, lol.....

Every time I clean the bike I bleed- usually from the license plate. It's my cure for high blood pressure.

I never cut myself, but that is because I don't clean the bike. Simple solution to a complex problem...

+1

Thanx for the chuckle. My HD neighbor asked me if I'm trying to make a subdued version of the midnight cherry for military use.

I talked to a Beemer Iron Butt holder yesterday about the trip to Alaska and gave me a lot of insight. He rides one of those trailbike looking BMW and when I told him I rode a Victory he said expect the bike to get very dirty because the roads. He then acted a little like "why am I talking to this guy?" I told him I'm not afraid of any dirt and rode everyday. He picked back up the pace and continue telling about how majestic everything seemed with passioned enthusiasm. I really can't wait to take the trip to Alaska if I can pick a good two weeks to do it. He said you have to do it around July and you have to be headed sought no later than August 20th.

I ain't afraid of no dirt....

For what its worth I would recommend checking out www.chopperdetailing.com
I know the gentleman who started the website and he has great information on cleaning your bike.
They also have "Pimpsticks" which I use to keep from cutting my hands up.

My neighbor claims that sharp edges on anything are a plot to collect DNA, from which "THEY" will create an army of clone soldiers (who cant be citizens because they were not born) to impose the will of the U.N. and the World Bank upon America.

He's not sure how they collect the DNA but is absolutely certain that they do, and thinks it may be at "recycling" facilities.

There is also something about genetically altered food and fluoride in this rant but I always make my excuses and leave before my head explodes, its all way too complex.

I now use the Victory Spray detailer and a micro fiber cloth and forget the rest - 'cause I don't want to wake up one morning looking a genetic duplicate of myself in a black tactical uniform.

Flu shots are the best way that the government has found to harvest DNA from the masses.

they are already collecting and storing DNA with our military men and women. Personally that is the least of my concerns. The worse will be as they begin to disarm us...

Given the way old Hank and his boss treated their "enemies" I'd say that paranoia would have been a reasonable and rational response.

I too have cut myself. In my case it was something sharp on the tail gunner exhaust tips. I have washing my bike down to a science now. Mr. Clean autodry in one hand and one of those mitts on the other for the stubborn dirt. Rinse with Mr. clean and the water sheets off w/o water spots. I Havve very hard water where I live and the bike looked like crap before I got the Mr. Clean if I didn't hand dry every inch.

Stop the bleeding, have someone else clean your bike, I'm sure someone owes you. Clone, that is very interesting, I'm sure that would piss off a lot of people if they cloned me.
