Marysville Washngton | Well, I have been playing around with different ideas for the rear of the bike to see if I can cut down on some of the road dirt on the back. This is my latest attempt. I traced the curve of the back of the bike onto a piece of paper and then flipped it to cut out the bottom curve of the mud flap. There are two allen head screws in the rear bottom of the bike that worked just fine to add 1" brackets for holding the flap. I made it long enough so that it slides up behind the back of the bike and in front of the bracket that holds the rear of the exhaust together.

Richmond, Virginia | Looks good. Hey, if you want to play with the design and you have more rubber. Take your top edge and keep it the way it is, but
taper the sides as they go down into a "V" pattern. That might mimic the taper of the back of the bike. You will still be acomplishing
your road dirt issue because the upper edge will still be wider to protect the rear end, but the bottom would be tapered. What do yu think. Mac. |

Marysville Washngton | VaParadox: I am not quite done with the flap in it's current configuration. I am having a little bling made for it so I do not want this one cut down but others sure could. |

Marysville Washngton | So, I have ridden for a week with the new flap and it has substantially cut down on the dirt that gets on the back of the bike. Not completely but way better than without. Will post more pix when I get the bling installed. |

Boydsville, AR United States | This winter I gotta get one made for pulling my trailer. I have a Bushtec hitch, so it will have to be in farther to the wheel. Has anyone made one that I could get a pattern of. (I'd rather ride than engineer one.) My copiolet says there is some lazyness in there somewhere, but I just don't see it! |
