I attended one of KevinX's Cam Partys and got the VFC III, intake plate and cams.....today I put it thru the ringer.  Very, very satisfied!  Much more powerful, less throttle required to go same speed, no more pop on decel.  I also left all my V-Twin cruiser buddies in my wake on start up and passing.   I highly recommend this mod and KevinX if your thinking about it. One of my riding buddies has the new 09 Kawasaki Voyager 1700cc...he couldn't  stay with the "new" Vision.  Prior to the mod, we were pretty evenly matched. I hit 80mph way too soon now just shifting up thru the gears.

What is the modification that was do to the vision? Sounds like you a vary saticfied with this upgrade. Do you know if this will void the warrenty of the motor and drive train. I really like the fact that you still have some throttle left when you are at the desired speed you are looking for.
What was replaced on the motor?
This sounds like something that i may be interested in doing to the Vision.

I have also had the cams replaced. And it most likely will void the warranty, but it is worth it in power. The good thing about the cams, is without a mich, you can't tell if they are not stock. And not doing it at a dealership, it will not be listed on the company computer. And I also recommend KevinX on his workmanship. ET

From a previous thread. Stackton California is next, but it is booked up......

OK I have worked out a system that will allow me to do two sets of 09 cams in a day, and that is the magic number I needed to make this happen. As most of you know the 09 unlike the 08 requires the cam carries to be swapped making them much more parts, and labor intensive. I have a source for the carriers, studs, nuts, and shafts that costs me less then dealer cost, but the stuff is still not free*LOL*
The deal on the 09 is a bit more expensive then the 08, but still very reasonable for what you gain. In order to have a party I need the following commitment for bikes
Two 2009 bikes
Two 2008 bikes, and one 2009
Two 2009 bikes, and one 2008
Three 2008 bikes-Four 2008 bikes
I can not do more, or less then listed above in the time I will have to do it

Prices
2008 is still $1150
2009 is now $1800

Price includes
Cams
Intake plate
VFC3
Carriers, and hardware[2009-2010]
Labor, and basic set up for tune

Results can be found in several places around, but basically you will move from
83/100 to 107+/107+

Hey Kevin,

I see that there are a few component changes that are made to the Vision to gain additional air and Gas intake.

Is the VFC3 a Fuel mixture control? Is it the Gizmo that I saw under Adams seat? Hmm…that just didn’t sound right!!!

Does the Vision have an altitude or atmospheric pressure sensor to help with the fuel mixture when you are up in the mountains? If it does, do you by-pass the sensor?

Do the Pipes on the Vision need to be changed or modified to experience the true potential of this Mod?

Another post states that the Vision (pre Mod) is comparable in performance to a KAW VN1700 Voyager. Will the Mod bring the Performance level close to the GL1800 Goldwing? (My last bike was a Goldwing and for a Tour bike it was a Torque Monster). I think the Torque of the Wing is 119T/120Hp (not sure if it is at the rear wheel or not)

Thanks

Yes the gizmo you saw under Adams seat is the VFC fuel controller

Yes the bike compensates fro altitude, temp, etc

Stock pipes will work, but S1 of some type work best

Those are crank numbers listed for the GL1800. The hopped up Vision will run right with a Goldwing. Both will turn mid 12 in the quarter, but the Vision will have a little better low end punch

I highly recommend the upgrades. In a year of daily reading the posts, I have not read any complaints or regrets. Do it.
