I noticed several folks posting that the best gadgets on the Tour Premium were now all options (heated grips/seats/ pwr windshield, etc). Since I live by the saying "believe none of what you hear and half of what you see" I decided to do some searching. Sure enough the Victory website listed all the aforementioned items as options for 2010.
So while at the dealership the other day I asked the owner who was surprized at such an idea. He grabbed a new catalog and it listed all the gadgets as standard equip, so we looked at the site. This of course left us both no closer to the right answer. The owner said he'd contact Victory and verify one way or the other. So today while having our club meeting I got the answer.
All the standard cool gadgets are still standard cool gadgets for 2010, not options. Could you order a Premium without heated grips or a powered ws? I suppose you could but they do come standard just as they have in previous years.

Yeah, I visited my dealer today, Blue Ridge Polaris- great people , by the way! We looked at the 2010 catalog and all the goodies are still standard on the 2010 Vision Premium. Options are the
ABS and Reverse.

Maintaining a website actually is different than the story you really want to tell at the time you want to tell. I notice that things are in somewhat of a disarray for merchants until the information behind the scene is fully and properly cataloged.

I would have been concerned though had this been September and things didn't look right.

Sort like a comment made that the Midnight Cherry was no longer available and then they thought it was available in the next post. Looking at the dealer order sheet there is no 2010 Midnight cherry. one unusual thing i did noticed on the dealer order sheet was all 2010 black Victory Visions will have ABS. None of the white ones will have ABS but the blue can be ordered with ABS. I was glad that Victory got smart and just made all Vitory Visions tour premiums though.

They are producing midnight cherry/sandstone grey two tone Visions this year for the European market. It just won't be available to the US market...

I know it will sound persnickety but I have to ask anyway, since we're discussing marketing choices.

In what portion of the ever expanding (unless it mimics the economy) universe is SANDSTONE considered GREY? Couldn't they just call it Grey or Sandstone? I only ask because the logic of color names always escape me.

Navajo White? (Home Depot paint) Not exactly an association that jumps into my head when the wife says "Honey the fence needs a new coat of paint". I'm thinking "Tom Sawyer White" as in how can I get someone else to paint that damn fence.

Vivid Black? (Harley Davidson) Oxymoronic. How can black be vivid? Shiny? Yes. Matte? Yes. Metallic? Yup. Vivid, I dont think so.

Razor Red? (Ford F150) Strikes me as a gruesome slasher film kind of name.

It all comes in handy when your trying to convince your better half you need a new toy. Gray, black, red and white just wont cut it. They are the ones that invented mauve. Still dont know what color it is, but if I tell my wife I want a mauve one, she'll think about it longer because it paints a better picture in her head. I dont understand it I just learned how to work with it.
