I wonder if what they did to the create the V-8 would work on my '08 Vision. I'm looking into the lowering and ordering the 8-ball seat if that is what it would take. I'm also thinking that the forks are shorter, but wonder if they are shorter than what can done with the stocks by putting them higher in the triple tree? There's about a half inch to play with.

I'm hoping the seat will work on either. If I could get the extra parts to swap out at will, then this would keep me content. I guess that would make mine a 7-ball since they are normally burgundy.

Just curious or trying to aggrevate, just depends who reads my post.

I'm real interested in lowering my Vision and wonder if any one did an adjustable link? I might hold out to order a link for the 8 ball.

There was a story on the home page (for a long time) from a gent in England who modified the fixed link in the rear to be adjustable and shortened. I believe the folks at Arlen Ness' shop send their seats out to Danny Grey? for modification(fillet out some foam and re-shape) and a nice leather recover. Hope this helps, Alan

The new v8 may be a little difficult to duplicate do to the 97H.P engine.
I believe they lowered the suspension 2inch's. This should be a fairly quick
machine. I'm thinking a great seller as well.

according to the read the suspension is 1" lower and the seat is 2" lower. The funny thing is that is 3" and the stock is 26.5" The Vision 8-Ball is 24.5", hmmmm.

But as far as duplicating I just want to set it down lower, and keep the rest as is, thus a 7-Ball, and that mine is the color of a 7 Ball.

Adjustable link is good and the front tubes can be lowered about 7/8 of an inch, I think, with out changing the forks out. Anymore than that would require other mods.

BTW, I've stated on other post my prediction for the 8-Ball Vision will be the top seller, even with the likes of the Cross bikes on the line-up, they'll be hot too. I see a great year for Victory in 2010.

If you are looking for a rear lowering link for a Vision, check with Arizona Victory. They sell them in various lengths. Or custom to your desires

The dealer where I got mine is cutting 3/4" out of the link rod and slightly raising the tubes in the triple clamps on a Vision they sold the other day. I'm thinking I'd wait for the 8 ball vision link rod to be available if I was going to lower mine (I'm not).
You might want to check progressive suspensions website and see if they have a shorter fork spring for the Vision if you are planning to lower. Two advantages that I can think of. First you don't need to move the tubes up and secondly the progressive rate springs would be a little better as you stated in another thread you liked the stiffness you felt after the oil change. Just something to think about.
