Who was that with the ice blue Vision Tour that the motor cop had pulled over along I-5?
Anyone that reads this board?
Nice bike.

If they did get stopped think they'd post telling us about it and taking a change on the ball busters here?

On the other hand, if it was me, I would fess up and say yea he got me in a speed trap doing 145!

From my limited experience around here, you gots to be doing something pretty crazy to get stopped on a bike here. I rarely, actually don't recall ever, seeing bikes pulled over, even if they should be in some cases..... with one exception. I was warned not to follow one of our local riders as he is a cop magnet. Ken knows all about that...

Well... that was me and I had my cruise set at 62mph and he pulled me over and said I was doing 70 mph. The only thing I can think of was that there was a green van passing me on the right (I was in the HOV lane) as we came into his sight. I tried to tell him I had my cruise set and he picked up his radar gun and pointed to the 70 on the screen. I spoke to my dealer and they said the speedometer is accurate. I will go up north on I 5 by Mt. Vernon and do a speedo check through the course they have marked out just to make sure. He wrote the ticket for 65mph in a 60 zone. A mere $93.00. I will be contesting it.

Thanks for the comment on the nice bike

See if the cop has a video tape, likely you won't get it but I would also press that issue with the van passing. I find that my Vision speedo and digital readings are on the nose in fuel mileage and I validate every chance I get. I've even checked it against my wife's GPS in her Jeep rolling besider her one time. Her speedo is about two miles off whereas the Vision was saying the same as the GPS. The police speedsigns are always in-line as well with my speedo.

Hope it works out for you. I'm surprised he even pulled you doing 70, here in Virginia, or the communist state as some would say are letting you get by at 15+ over the limit. You have to be almost breaking 85 before they'll pull you and I've seen folks pass me flying past a trooper and he doesn't even flinch. Then there was a news report on Hopewell that pull over 3 speeders an hour on the interstate, citing that they are doing well over 80 and even 90 miles an hour.

I lived over on the west side (Seattle-Everett) Area for almost 24 years till 2007. They will pull you over for doing 5 over there. Heck how do you think Washington state pays it's bills ( $8 billion in the hole right now) via giving traffic tickets. It's the only state i have seen that writes more tickets than anyone else for trival shit.

Too bad about the ticket. He probably just wanted a closer look at the bike and needed an excuse. hehe
$93.00!ouch
I'm sure the judge will lower it if nothing else.

I see more and more Visions, I think they are catching on around here, I am seeing alot more of all their models actually.

Are you planning on coming to the demo rides at Hinshaws Honda june 26th? I was there today and they told me that Arlen Ness will be there the 26th, this all coincides the Childrens Ride 14. According to the flyer its gonna be quite the todo. june 25-28th, biker build offs, charity rides, demo rides, etc.

Yikes! I am looking at the flyer and it aint gonna be cheap!! Just the charity ride costs 60 bux a head. I guess that aint too bad if it goes to a charity, but if ya wanna go to the build off/auction it costs 150 clams. or you can go all in and become a Posse member for a mere 500 bones.(maybe it comes with a HOG membership ) I will probably go to the demo rides, and check out some of the hollywood types. If anyone plans on being there lemme know, we can meet.
ok, I gotta take a nap now from all this typing. Ron

Today was my court date. I hired an attorney and got the ticket dismissed. $200.00 to get a $93.00 ticket removed from my record. Worth it not to have it on my record but when you did not do the crime....oh well.
