New Bohemia, VA | Provided I can keep it between the ditches, not get ran over, or die of a heart attack, I'll rack up 40,000 shortly after I leave work today. Got 39,960 on the clock, and it is a 32 mile ride to work. All I can say is these Vic's are great and I'm glad I started with a Vision. Looking forward to the Redwing 19 ride on the 16th where I plan on doing a mere 1,036 miles in the saddle in under, hmmmmm, 17 hours on May 16. |

Yeah, Chris. How is the seat holding up? Did you do something like insert a gel pad under the stock Vision seat cover? Someone suggested it might be more comfortable if I had that done. But what do they know? I'm just OLD lol. |

New Bohemia, VA | As far as I can tell the seat is still as comfortable as the day I pulled it off the showroom. I still want to get it leathered, but I want to get a second used seat first so I can take it to get it redone. After that, I'll going to use the old seat to "solo" my Vision. I've been told gel only works if you are barhopper as they cause problems with heat on the long haul. Don't think I'll ever go gel, but leather, I think is the way to go. |

I went with Sheepskin covers instead of gel pads. Wow....what a difference. I got 2 seperate sections (rider and passenger) so I could remove the passenger cover if needed. Not bad for around $100 and it sure beats paying $800 for a new Corbin seat. |

New Bohemia, VA | I keep hearing so, and a few beemer riders swear by them as well. Does it take getting use to when you first put it on, or is it great from the getgo? How is the wash and care of the sheepskin? I've got an outside Vision, doesn't even know what a garage is, or a trailer. The last time it was trailered was in the crate so it didn't know. And the last time it spent time indoors was at the Victory Care Center for warranty work, so it don't know either what it means to be "in the shop." Despite being an outside Vision, it has led a very sheltered life, only knowing the way of the rode road.

San Antonio, TX United States | The sheepskin is so easy to put on and off, you can just throw it in the trunk or saddle bag if you are worried about rain. Makes a great pillow on those long rides where you just need to stop for a few minutes and take a 15 min power nap. Never had to get used to the sheepskin. Will feel like it adds another inch to your ride height at first, but that soon fades from your mind.
I guess i will see you in Chantilly on the night of the 15th as well as the morning of the 16th. My wife is riding the Redwing19 with me. |

New Bohemia, VA | super cool beans. When are you riding up Friday? I'm staying at a friend's apt in Chantilly and plan on doing the mingle Friday. I have to ask, how do you take a power nap on the Vision? I've not found a way to sleep on it yet. That is the only thing I miss about my wing is that I could lay up, back to the tank, my jacket as a pillow at the dash and feet across the saddlebags and get a good nap with one eye open. thanks for the feedback on the sheepskin. |

San Antonio, TX United States | I usually pull over and lay on the ground or a table at a road side rest stop. I cant find a comfortable place to lay on the vision either, but then again, i bought to ride and not sleep.  |

| Sheep skin, goats hide or AirHawk all great products. I tried a goats hide last summer after a HD guy offered to let me use his to compare to sheepskin, what a difference. I'll be picking one up while out west this summer. I have an AirHawk which is worth every penny but they are expensive compared to a goatskin. I agree with the census that Gel doesn't work, not at all for me anyhow.
Oh and congrats VA, 40k, wow. You'll be in the market for a new one in around 4 years, lol. I logged 15k in my first year of ownership (yesterday was 1 year) which isn't bad for 7 months of riding weather (we get a bunch of snow here). Hope to ride just as much this summer. |
